I noticed this, maybe they are trying to kill as many before they are forced to stop.

Why does Israel step up its attacks when Gaza ceasefire talks advance?

https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2024/7/17/why-does-israel-step-up-its-attacks-when-gaza-ceasefire-talks-advance

Who is forcing them to stop?

why would they not step up attacks on Hamas?

Don’t worry, I don’t expect a reply to something so basic yet baffles you.

Good news, historic news.

Israel have been allowed to commit these crimes for decades.

UN court orders Israel to end its occupation of Palestinian territories

International court of justice says it should leave ‘as rapidly as possible’ and make full reparations for ‘wrongful acts’

Un has as much to say as an American president to tell Putin to stop his invasion, pull back his forces from Ukraine and Crimea.

Well at least they are highlighting the atrocities that led up to/caused the Palestinian resistance.

I forgot to mention Biden told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to behave, and not kill so many civilians.

So,

After so many controverses the last years UN have completely lost its function, when veto is misused in so many controversial matters.

Agreed. As long as the veto remains the UN is useless. It was set up to prevent wars, but has utterly failed. I have no idea what function the so called security council plays but it's just a ridiculous talking shop with no teeth that I can see. Hasn't stopped Ukraine, hasn't stopped Gaza, hasn't stopped Sudan, hasn't stopped Burma, just useless.

Of course israel will ignore the court's ruling, but when something happens they don't like, they'll be screaming for the UN to help them.

CNN reporting from Gaza in the town where the hostages were rescued, interesting article.

"Neighbors told CNN it was no secret that the family had links to Hamas. “We were worried about the Aljamal house. They are with Hamas,” said a neighbor and family acquaintance."

“Had we known, had he told us, we would have taken safety precautions, hide or move to somewhere else,” one neighbor, Abu Muhammad El Tahrawi, said.

In fact the day before the raid, Aljamal had published an article in the US based Palestine Chronicle where he was a regular contributor apart from his Hamas duties including keeping hostages and we know he also published in Al Jazeera once.

‘He was a pious man’: The Gaza neighborhood shocked to find Israeli hostages in their midst

Neighbors told CNN it was no secret that the family had links to Hamas. “We were worried about the Aljamal house. They are with Hamas,” said a neighbor and family acquaintance.

Abdallah had served as a spokesman for Gaza’s Ministry of Labor as recently as 2022, a position entrusted only to Hamas members, according to political analysts. He also showed his support for the group on social media. On Facebook, he posted pictures of his young son dressed in the fatigues of Hamas’ armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, and on October 7 openly praised the group’s attack on Israel. In a 2022 video post, Abdallah commended the Hamas operation to kidnap Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, who was held in Gaza between 2006 and 2011, and proclaimed: “Brothers, all of us are prepared to die for the resistance.”

Unbelievable how Israel step up the killing every time they are told not to!

Dozens of Palestinians have been killed in a wave of Israeli attacks on the Nuseirat refugee camp and other locations in Gaza throughout Friday evening and into Saturday morning, according to reports.

Thanks for that update.

Have those damn Hamas terrorists been hiding out in the refugee camps again? Hope they managed to kill them all. They've also been attacking aid convoys.

"IDF kills Islamic Jihad naval chief in Gaza; Hamas attacks troops securing aid route

Meanwhile, in an incident Wednesday in southern Gaza’s Rafah, the IDF said that Hamas operatives fired RPGs at Israeli troops operating along a humanitarian route, while aid trucks were traveling through it. As a result of the RPG fire, a soldier with the Givati Brigade was moderately wounded, the IDF said."

They killed about another 20 of the terrorists here as well, I wonder why Al Jazeera has not mentioned it?

"Another recent airstrike killed a Hamas sniper who killed an Israeli soldier in the Gaza Strip, along with some 20 more terror operatives, the IDF and Shin Bet security agency said Thursday.
According to the IDF, the drone strike killed around 20 members of Hamas’s Shati Battalion, including members of the elite Nukhba force, snipers, and operatives who would observe Israeli forces."

The war can end immediately as soon as Hamas agrees to a ceasefire, stops firing rockets from the civilian locations, and releases the remaining hostages. It's quite simple.

First, how about releasing the Palestinians in Israeli jails.

Also, stop the Apartheid in Israel and West Bank. Have you any idea why Oct 7 happened?

Israel is building yet another bypass road for use by Jewish settlers

How about releasing the innocent hostages being held by the terrorists? How many Thai hostages still bringing held?

A report by two surgeons who volunteered for two weeks at Gaza European Hospital. It is lengthy but describes well how terrible living conditions are currently in Gaza.

Below extract from the linked article

"We started seeing a series of children, preteens mostly, who’d been shot in the head. They’d go on to slowly die, only to be replaced by new victims who’d also been shot in the head, and who would also go on to slowly die. Their families told us one of two stories: the children were playing inside when they were shot by Israeli forces, or they were playing in the street when they were shot by Israeli forces."

LOL, the "war" has been going on against Palestinians since the illegal occupations began in the 1960s.

This conflict is just the latest battle in the war.

BTW why would Hamas agree to anything when netanyahu has said they will be hunted down, even after the current assault ends? Threats like that are no way to bring about a ceasefire, though that was likely his plan, as IMO he obviously doesn't want peace.

You mean the female IDF soldiers you posted a few posts back?

No idea how many Thai hostages there are.

I do know there are over 38,000 Palestinians killed, mostly women and children: supporting this Genocide is repugnant.

I find it very disturbing to see people support the Zionist entity, especially considering its practices such as occupation, apartheid policies, illegal settlements, and the segregation through separate roads. These actions are not only morally repugnant but also violate fundamental human rights.

It's crucial to stand against such injustices and advocate for equality and justice for all people in the region.

No I mean all the hostages, over 100 hundred of them. The reason there is still a war on.

UN Special Rapporteur oPt reporting on violent settlers.

Violent settlers must be held accountable. As Israel has proven unwilling or unable to bring them to justice, other countries must do so. One of the implications of the ICJ AO is that UN member states may now be under an obligation to disclose the list of their nationals residing in the oPt, especially as they commit crimes against the illegally occupied

Nothing to do with the war. Antisemite Francesca Albanese, even the French Foreign Ministry condemned her remarks on the Oct 7th atrocities.

Map of the humanitarian zone, look at the red markers where Hamas terrorists have themselves embedded and firing rockets from. Typical example of the use of human shields by them. Al Jazeera will be along next saying Palestinians killed in humanitarian zone not mentioning they were terrorists that were targeted amongst the civilians

A newly released video from shortly after Oct 7, shows Palestinians in Gaza cheering and celebrating as 24-year-old hostage Matan Zangauker, who was kidnapped from Israel to Gaza, is taken through Khan Younis. Remind me again about those Palestinian ‘civilians’ …

Hostage Matan Zangauker’s mom publishes clip showing him in Gaza after Oct. 7 attack

A screenshot of an undated video clip published on July 23, 2024, shows hostage Matan Zangauker being transported by Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip following the Hamas-led October 7 attack on southern Israel. (X video screenshot: used in accordance with Clause 27a of the Copyright Law)

The mother of a hostage held by Hamas published on Tuesday a short video filmed in the Gaza Strip after the October 7 attack, in which her son Matan Zangauker is seen squeezed between two terrorists on a motorcycle.

In the clip, which Hebrew media outlets reported was discovered by Israeli forces in Gaza and recently shown to the family, Zangauker is briefly seen being taken down a street as onlookers gleefully ululate.

According to assessments, the video is from Zangauker’s first few days in the Strip and was filmed on the outskirts of the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.
