So you'll presumably be getting your next extension before you go on your trip?  Get a new re-entry permit at the same time, that'll be valid a year so will make up for your disappointment this time around.  What is the warning?

Yep, a re-entry permit only protects your current permission of stay expiry date.

Lesson learned.

Just another golden nugget of information for future reference.
An extension cannot be dated beyond the expiry date of your passport.

Can't imagine why she would appear like that.

Nobody thought to mention this when they were checking & taking my money!

Well, imagine the alternate thread title under different circumstances.

"Refused Re-Entry Permit - Well pleased with the service at Jomtien"

that would have been an epic thread :jap:

One of the questions on the form asks when will you leave/return?  I filled in May 15 - June 19th.  Apparently these dates were invalid.

Assume it was a standard TM13 form. If so I do not see a space for a return date.

At the bottom of the form where it asks for the departure date and 'by (type of transportation') etc the 'TO' that appears after that is for the  is the destination not the return date.

If one understands what a re-entry permit is, there won't be any confusion at all.
