Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
Yet there is no facility within the Thai tax system to state what year any income was earned and TRD is only concerned with current year earnings. TRD is only concerned with remitted assessable funds, remitted funds are either assessable or they are not. If I work in country X and remit my earnings to my Thai bank account, in a year when I am not Thai tax resident, potentially I can evade tax in any country and that is the loop hole the TRD is trying to close. I think statement 14 is aimed at newly arriving expats, people who want to move to Thailand. I don't think it is aimed at existing tax residents. -

Who lives on 20k a month ?
When you get to the age of some of us, health insurance is impossible. Keep a stash on one side for that. Or have a few high limit Credit Cards available. Or DNR tattooed on your forehead! 555 -

Who lives on 20k a month ?
That's 580 USD but could get worse or better. Yes but what about medical? That's the usual next biggest (must) cost. And travel? Holidays? If just for food, local buses and bills doable -

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
We just had quotes on insurance for the MG4, 11,000 THB with Roojai for me as the only driver. 28,000-30,000 for the other companies with my daughters as named drivers. I think it’s outrageous. -

I have sugar problem
Easy. Avoid sugar and anything sweet such as sodas etc... Avoid fat, fried food, etc.... Avoid beer like hell. Eat only very few fruits. Fructose is actually much worse than zaccharose. Don't eat too much of other carbs: rice, pasta, bread .... Eat balanced meals: 50% vegetable, 25% proteins, 25% glucides (rice, bread ....). Of course, try not to eat too much, Avoid buffets.. There are plenty of good food options left, it's just usually more expensive than eating fried chicken or burgers with fries. Of course, exercise every day. -

No, if you earned and remitted that money whilst Thai tax resident it is assessable. He is suggesting that money earned abroad in a year when non tax resident can still be assessable in the year it is remitted if you are tax resident in that year. (I disagree)- 1
