Indian passengers turn Thai AirAsia plane into party zone - video
It's a complete they are bringing in money to Thailand, so they are tolerated. There was nearly 3 million visitors this year, and they are still by person some of the lowest spenders in Thailand, yet makeup a large part of the visitors. Counting how much visitors from a certain country bring into the country is not an exact science, and not a perfect full proof equation. Furthermore, they do have some high end tourists who will spend money, movies shot in Thailand, but they also have some awfully budget visitors - to then average this up and claim Indians spend money is a bad way to look at it. Secondly, you have to look at the impact they have on other visitors and local culture. They are sex pests, and whilst this is tolerated normally ... what they do is bordering on abuse. I have witnessed many of them, in packs hounding a Thai prostitute to give them a discount if she takes the whole group. The vulnerable lady will often agree. It'd disgusting. Many female friends refuse to go to Pattaya anymore as Indian men will often see them as prostitutes. It's barbaric. The impact it has on high end tourists who will not want to go to resorts or destination where the makeup is of massive cheap indian tourists (along with Chinese tourists). No other country has a generous visa policy for Indians than what Srettha Thavisin in his stupid panic for more tourists has given the Indians. Many other countries are now putting barriers back up to Indian visitors, eg Cambodia and Malaysia. But not Thailand. They will often say 'oh Indians bring so many millions to the economy', negating the fact the volume and negative impact they bring. Pollution, litter, enviromental impact, over staying. The problem will only get worst as more and more will come. -

Trump’s big fat abject lie …and why he keeps telling it.
So would you vaccinate your children against measles? Only kills about 100,000 people (mainly young children). And do you use a fluoridated toothpaste? -

My wifey lost her job
She is burned out. Not many opportunities in her sector now. Japanese car manufacturers are in trouble. Her company is selling bearings, so they are facing a lot of competition from Chinese. She has Canadian PR, so if she doesn't get anything decent by April we are leaving. Brrrrr -

Who lives on 20k a month ?
There are lots of people who live in Pattaya part-time or year-round who 'never get involved with nightlife there'. That includes my spouse and myself, and most of the people we know who also live here. The location is terrific to start--we can be at our center city Bangkok getaway condo in less than 2 hours--with a drive on the Motorway that's much easier and faster than, say Hua Hin. Suvarnabumi is only about 1.5 hours away--very convenient as we like to travel. Spouse and I have been car-shopping and just about every auto brand imaginable is available in Pattaya, including 3 or 4 of the new Chinese brands. We ended up buying an suv from BYD, which has a dealership in town. No need to drive long distances to get to a dealership. Ditto that for a selection of good hospitals, and good dental and eye care. Shopping is excellent, with both Terminal 21 and Central Festival Mall, as well as some other shopping centers. Movies in English at several different movie complexes. Good big box stores, including Index, Home Pro, Boonthavorn, and others. Also good supermarkets with Makro, and several branches of Big C, Lotus, Villa Market, etc. Plus numerous local food markets. Lots of recreation available with golf courses, badminton and tennis courts, public gyms, snorkeling, biking trails, other boating activities, etc. We love to eat out and Pattaya has tons of restaurants--and you don't need to go to the tourist areas to find them. We are on the Darkside and there are lots of good restaurants on this side of Sukhumvit. By far the biggest draw has to be both the variety of neighborhoods to choose from and the equally large variety of housing available, at all price points, whether one chooses to rent or own. There's likely a neighborhood--with a good choice of housing--to fit just about any lifestyle. Whether you want a big pool villa in a quiet area or an oceanfront condo on one of the beaches--or something more modest--you'll be able to find it in Pattaya.- 1

Who lives on 20k a month ?
Maybe it was mentioned already. I suggest find a nice Thai girlfriend. Find one who knows how to live with 10k per month. Then she will live with you in luxury and take care of everything. I am serious. I am pretty sure you won't be able to do what she does. I.e. she will go to the fresh market and know the prices and what is in season and all that. I don't have to live on a small budget, but I am always amazed what my gf is able to buy at the market at very low prices. -

Who Is Controlling the Budget Bill? Trump, Johnson, or Musk?
Interesting to see people cracking up about normal American politics. It's far from the first time bills had to be adjusted and subjected to a re-vote. So the answer to the question is "bipartisan." Bipartisan bills, who knew such a thing existed, eh? . -

Trump’s big fat abject lie …and why he keeps telling it.
Compare the incidence of dental caries in Hawaii, where fluoridation was stopped in 1966, with that of mainland USA. The only places that still need iron lungs for polio patients are Pakistan and Afghanistan, due to vaccine hesitancy caused by ignorance. Polio is still endemic there. QED. -
