The ones on here predicting the end of the world need only look up 1 word its called Deterrent. We here in the UK have our own Deterrent since 1960 its detered any aggresor threatening us with Nuclear attacks and will always protect us. As proven by Israel even balistic missiles incoming were taken out by the Iron dome Anti aircrafy systems.

I'm pretty sure Israel has givem plenty of thought to strategic first strike scenarios as raised in the original post. I'm equally sure they have measures in place to ensure a retailatory nuclear strike.

 

Iran launched drones and missiles against Isreal, but gave 3 days warning and didn't target any cities. It was meant as a show of strength. Hopefully Israel will not get sucked in and will continue their current mission until finished.

 

A full scale war between Iran and Israel would draw America and its allies into the mix. As a consequence, Russia will quickly prevail in Ukraine and force a 'peace'. China is likely to seize the opportunity to blockade Taiwan under the imminent threat of war. North Korea will seriously consider a first strike on South Korea.

 

Thailand will want to stay nuetral, but will probably have to cede to China. Hopefully us expats will have a few years warning to leave the country before being forceably expelled or taken hostage. I guees this will probably be like doomsday for most of us.

Perhaps we will soon find out. Everyone else seems to play together just fine, or would do if the star spangled and Union Jack puppets would leave people alone to live their own lives. 

 

It would be slightly more peaceful but we would still have Russia, China and radical Muslims to worry about.

Those are easy to solve.

 

Stop poking the bear, re-shore industry back to the US and keep out of other countries' disputes, and deport anyone "radical" to whence they came. If they're born in the US, ship them off to a country that better reflects the radical's religious beliefs and world view. 

 

Closing the borders and only accepting immigrants who  share Western cultural values - not economic migrants- would go a long way to solving most of the cultural problems facing the West today.

Well that is certainly a possibility, Netanyahu does not appear to apply reason and common sense in his decisions, and the extremists who support him are very close to insanity.

What I find particularly interesting is the exposure on this issue. It is certainly not new (there are videos from the 90s of Rabbis encouraging Netanyahu to accelerate this process), but for the first time, it is under the spotlight for the world to see.
