webfact
Pattaya- An unidentified foreign man of Caucasian descent around 40 years old was found in a state of distress and injury early Thursday morning, with head wounds and covered in blood, prompting an emergency response from local rescue foundation officials in Pattaya City. At 5:00 a.m., officials from the Sawang Boriboon rescue center were notified by a local resident about a foreigner in need of assistance. The individual was discovered sitting on the sidewalk along Pattaya Sai 2 Road, near the Songthaew parking area close to the Wat Chai Mongkol intersection, with significant bleeding from the head. This is just behind the popular Walking Street entertainment area. Rescue workers arrived promptly at the scene to administer first aid. The injured man, displaying symptoms that suggested intoxication, was unable to provide an account of what had transpired and seemed dazed, drunk, and confused. Mr. Suwitmon Lamun Anu, a 37-year-old Songthaew (Baht bus) driver, told The Pattaya News that he had first found the foreigner sitting in a state of confusion, who was visibly wounded and seeking help, but the details surrounding the injuries remained unclear. The foreign man was transported to the Pattaya City Hospital for medical treatment due to substantial blood loss. Popular Post sumongkhwai
One night, many years ago, my wife and I were walking along the beach walk in Pattaya back to our hotel. It was super late. We saw a farang getting into a fight with a motor bike taxi driver. The motor bike taxi driver got on his phone. My wife and I both looked at each other and said the same thing, "there's ten guys coming round the corner". Nothing good happens early in the morning with a bunch of booze on board. Just my opinion. Popular Post IamNoone88
Look on the positive side. Perhaps someone was actually trying to help by knocking some sense into the poor fellow. Sadly, not sure it was improvement in this case. 1 2 5

Popular Post Kerryd
Likely drunk, passed out, hit his head on the sidewalk. Bled for a bit, sat up, taxi guy sees him and calls for help. I remember back in the late 90s when bars had to close by 6am but were allowed to open again at 10 (which just meant they turned off the lights and music and put the customer's "bin cups" below the counter and continued serving them). I used to jog from my hotel down to Walking Street then around the far end and up to the Big Buddha and back to the hotel. One morning I jogged past the bar I'd been drinking in a few hours earlier and there was a drunk passed out on the side of that little path across from the Marine Bar (that goes past where the Blues Factory used to be and comes out behind the Marine Hotel). He was off to the side of the path with his head in the little rain gutter, people sitting on bar stools behind him. Staff in the bars looking bored (or sleeping) and no one paying any attention to the guy. Just another morning in Pattaya. Probably happens somewhere in the city literally every night. 2

All you said was "Yeah , time to re-criminalize cannabis" I agree, they should do more to stop people drinking to excess. Through financial education would probably be the best option, starting when kids are very young. 1

All you said was "Yeah , time to re-criminalize cannabis" I agree, they should do more to stop people drinking to excess. Through financial education would probably be the best option, starting when kids are very young. Part of that problem is children seeing their parents drink to excess. Another is absent parenting. Also, children look to their peers for guidance, not understanding it should be their parents (if available) instead of other clueless children. They experiment, not knowing that many of them will become addicted to things like alcohol and or drugs, because their brains, not yet developed, take in these drugs and addiction can start in many. People like to drink to escape life, at least for awhile. It lowers their inhibitions, makes them more sociable, but also creates problems, the least of which is driving after drinking, which of course kills thousands every year. The education starts at home, and if it's not there, it occurs on the streets. 1 1
Popular Post Polaky
Happened to me not so long ago, walking back to apartment late after a bar session, when suddenly the footpath leaped up and struck me in the head, followed by a brick wall getting into the act, dazed and confused and bleeding I stumbled for an hour before finding my abode. 2
Neeranam
Aa an alcoholic, this was a frequent occurrence for me in 90s Bangkok. Things were different then, I was never in the news for getting into a drunken fight in a blackout.

Got it ? Of course it is. In Scotland, 3/4 court cases are related to alcohol. Alcohol ruins the lives of so many. Cannabis is harmless. 2 2
