Ah, got there, Teak Door...I won't bother.

And you can make up your mind in 7 minutes and that's including the search time? Go 8888 yerself. Best forum out there, including Thaiger. Thaiger will go down the same road as AN.

You could buy like 250 condos and rent them out for 10,000B+/month for $23mil  USD. How much revenue does this website generate per month? I doubt it's anywhere near that but what do I know.

It's not gonna save the forum, it will collapse all together with the thaiger then over time. It surprises me though, they must be super inefficient or incompetent, if it is not possible to run this website profitable with all the ad income. Most things on this forum can be automated. Same as coconut Bangkok already stopped too.

If new owners want to do a good thing it is to DELETE the super ugly aseannow domain name and revert back to thaivisa.com

And go bust again???

**Mystery Mega-Deal: Who Bought ASEAN NOW?**

In a shocking twist of events, the popular online forum ASEAN NOW has possibly been taken over or bought by a group of eclectic entities including Teak Door, Pattaya Addicts, Thaiger, Stickman, and a few others. The digital landscape of Southeast Asia may never be the same!

Speculation runs rampant as to who the true mastermind behind this acquisition is. Could it be the forum's enigmatic founder, George, who is rumored to have bought back the site he founded two decades ago? Or is it a shadowy coalition of rival forums staging a dramatic coup?

George, who has been seen sporting a mysterious cloak and twirling a sinister mustache in recent weeks, has been tight-lipped about his potential involvement in the takeover. Fans of the forum are holding their breath, eager to see how this high-stakes drama unfolds.

Some sources claim George might be plotting to combine all the forums into one mega-platform, complete with augmented reality features, virtual reality hangouts, and even an intergalactic chatroom! Stay tuned for more updates on this thrilling saga!

I suspect you are quite close to the truth. An excellent piece of prose, by the way. 🖕

The 9th paragraph in the article says it all. The lack of keeping it simple has brought AN to its demise. The last half of that paragraph has been overtly apparent, true colors eventually bleed out.

Forums are old school.

It's like walking into a Yorkshire pub quarter full of lads sitting around tables in small groups chatting amongst themselves.

I find it more entertaining to sit at the bar and listen in on their conversations.

I have an ad blocker so I don't get plagued with ads like some complain of. I was a member years ago. It was better when it was ThaiVisa. Asean Now added nothing to the platform in my opinion and I find the inconsistent and pro-Israel bias in the moderation very difficult to accept. If it gets taken over I'll give it a try to see how it is. Mike Lister did a survey her a month or two back about what posters felt about the forum....I don't remember getting a feedback of the consolidated comments, but that may well down to my inattentiveness.

The things that freaks me out about the forum is these months old commentaries with 6000 odd responses and 35 pages.....at least give us the option to view the latest comments first instead of wading through 000s of comments.

Thank you guys for helping out with this website valuation. It's good to know.

Both AN and TT have the same core online system and already share a lot of stuff as you know.

It makes sense to merge it all into one - good for the members, but much better for a lot of business reasons.

Good luck with whatever happens going forward George.

If you are cashing in on Thaiger (like Tim did) and are going 'on a holiday', then best wishes going forward mate.

But if you get a couple of old khrapy fishing huts and refurbish them and offer them at 4000 Baht a night - I wont be staying 😁

I think the new owners should issue shares in the business to any loyal forum members of more than 20 years standing... 🙂

What you gonna do Simon? TD or Thaiger?
