5he only issue should be what questions are asked. I don't care what news outlet carries it but you can't ask questions about abortion and chocolate chip ice cream and then ask Trump why he makes the devil blush.

I look forward to this debate.  It will reveal to Trump supporters (and the rest of America) that right wing media has been lying to them all along.  Biden is not senile and has been busy doing his job.  Trump, on the other hand, is a raging idiot who doesn't have command of the issues.  This article best explains what is likely to happen....

It's a good idea for Biden to debate before the convention, if he has some sort of breakdown, he can be replaced.

 

Conversely, Trump is at risk if he is dinged for getting facts wrong.

My understanding is that they've brought Hugo Chavez out of his crypt again to write code for Italian satellites which will beam the answers into Biden's ear piece.

 

I mean, if old dead Hugo could write the code to alter Dominion voting machines, as trump's lawayer Sidney Powell claimed (albeit not in court), beaming answers is a piece of cake.

If there aren't any questions about Hannibal Lecter or fighting uphill at Gettysburg, trump might be stumped. Oh, and windmills causing cancer and injecting Lysol to cure Covid....gotta give him a chance to show his, you know, really stable genius ability.

 

If those topics are not discussed, the only thing left for trump will be to claim he has 'the best Healthcare plan ever', how he could end the war in Ukraine in an afternoon, how Mexico is going to pay for the wall he failed to build his only term, and how next week is Infrastructure Week. He would be well advised to stay away from the fake 'misremberances' he had in the recent TIME interview, as virtually every single point he made was false. Obviously Biden and the Dems realise that tactic has failed, so now they are trying another angle.

 

Nothing will save Biden - Trump will destroy him in a debate, as long as the debate is fair and resonable.  Meaning the questions are not like -  'So tell us Trump, why did you pay money to that hooker to shut up?"  OR  "So tell us Joe, how were you able to achieve such great economic and social growth in USA over the last 4 years, despite the decimation made by your predessesor."

 

Trump under-estimated Biden last time and was far too arrogant and aggressive.  I am sure this time around he will listen to his advisers and behave a lot less aggresively - and not like he did when debating Clinton et al - which is what he did last time he debated Biden.  Maybe Biden's camp is thinking Trump will be far too aggressive and arrogant to an old frail man, and Biden will get the 'sympathy' vote.

Besides his penchant for slander and lies, he lacks impulse control. His achilles'heel is his temperament. That archilles heel was on display during his debate with Hillary both in style and substance. He whined repeatedly about being interrupted by the moderator and Hillary going over her time. He couldn't even stay still, pacing the debate stage and walking behind her. No amount of coaching can tame his temperament on stage. It is a big flaw in winning any debate. His debate with Biden will further doom his election chance.
