Russia test-fires missiles to simulate 'massive' response to nuclear first strike

Of course Vladimir is not going to use these weapons, we all know that. You know that, Z guys also know that.
It is similar to bungee jumping on Phuket. Those who sell tickets for you - these people don`t want you die after jump for sure. And you know that this is safe. But most people are not brave enough to jump.
Vladimir knows that although the Americans are confident that he will not launch a nuclear bomb at them, most of them will refuse to jump into this and will make concessions.

So you think a foreign nation sending boots on the ground is no big deal?

First off, we do not know for sure if the NK soldiers will be deployed to the front lines to fight or to observe/learn and if they are, we do not know if they will be deployed to Ukraine or to the Kursk region.

If the latter, this is, to me, entirely acceptable as Russia and NK has a military alliance to assist each other in the event of an attack on either, not unlike Nato's Article 5. Kursk is after all, Russian territory.

Secondly, there are already many foreign nationals (soldiers, mercenaries etc) already on the ground in Ukraine, fighting against the Russians. If it's no big deal for one side, then it shouldn't be a big deal for the other.

While I somewhat agree with your first point, your second point needs proof.

Foreign fighters do fight for Ukraine against Russia, but I don't know of any mercenaries. Do you have proof of mercenaries as defined by the First Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions ?

I see we have some still in denial, the NK troops on their way to the front lines in Russian uniforms and equipment, obviously just going there for a picnic lunch and watch the fighting for experience.........:saai:

North Korean troops with Russian uniforms, equipment moving toward Ukraine: Pentagon

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Wednesday urged North Korea to withdraw troops from Russia after its forces were observed wearing Kremlin uniforms and carrying Russian equipment en route to the Kursk border region.

Speaking at the Pentagon alongside South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, Austin called the deployment “dangerous and destabilizing,” and said he was increasingly concerned that Moscow plans to use the North Korean soldiers to support its fighting near the border with Ukraine.

A mercenary is any person who:

(a) is specially recruited locally or abroad in order to fight in an armed conflict;

(b) does, in fact, take a direct part in the hostilities;

(c) is motivated to take part in the hostilities essentially by the desire for private gain and, in fact, is promised, by or on behalf of a Party to the conflict, material compensation substantially in excess of that promised or paid to combatants of similar ranks and functions in the armed forces of that Party;

(d) is neither a national of a Party to the conflict nor a resident of territory controlled by a Party to the conflict;

(e) is not a member of the armed forces of a Party to the conflict; and

(f) has not been sent by a State which is not a Party to the conflict on official duty as a member of its armed forces.

It was confirmed by a poster on AN who has been fighting there that some of the foreign fighters are paid. So it seems to me that yes, there are mercenaries fighting over there.

As Russia and NK have only recently signed a military alliance, it’s good to see NK living up to its commitment, even though it’s only a small token force of a few thousand soldiers. Some reports I’ve read speculate that these forces will be sent to Kursk, Russia, some parts of which is currently under enemy occupation.

It is not inconceivable that a western country, using South Korea as its proxy, much like what’s happening in Ukraine, would invade NK so it’s only prudent that the NK army can see first hand how to defend its territory and to repel the invaders.

Good foresight being shown by the Rocket Man.

No they are not mercenaries as it seems to you, they form part of the Ukraine armed forces.

A handful of foreign volunteer soldies fighting for a cause that they believe in is not quite the same as thousands of soldiers being sent there by their government.

Bottom line:  Ukraine is losing; Russia is winning.

I’m sure this is case and that countries like China and India has been advised accordingly. 3,000 - 12,000 soldiers is an insignificant number of troops and if you believe Ukraine’s claim of over 1,000 casualties a day, this will make no difference and can hardly be classified a serious escalation.

So the question is why is the west playing this up? To try and justify NATO expansion into Asia? To try and justify sending troops (maybe South Korean as they aren’t part of NATO) into Ukraine to hold off the inevitable collapse for a bit longer?

Good questions and ones that are not being asked by the western media. But if you use other social media platforms, they do ask those sort of questions. They are of course labelled as being far-right and conspiracy theorists, when they are just doing what the media should do and ask pointed and difficult questions.  I think that last point is telling - the inevitable collapse of NATO which IMO will be closely following the EU falling apart.  This BS 'common ideology' holding Nations together is a load of rubbish - USSR was exactly the same. The USSR in their last years ramped things up to try and force everyone to stay united - but the inevitable collapse was always certain.  Same for EU and then NATO - they have become far too powerful and corrupted and no longer service their original purpose.

That NATO could drag Nations into a war that their people do not care about, speaks volumes about their power.  The problem with all bureaucrats is that they spread and grow like a cancer and will eventually kill the host. NATO and EU are mainly bureaucrats and they will just grow and grow unchecked and destroy the host, unless they are removed or irradiated or both.
