Yes, I have the same experience. A niece of mine came to see me 1st of March. We tooled all around Bangkok.  I really had look for to find a katoey to show her.  There are many places I could have gone to find them in abundance, but just walking around in regular life (BTW Soi 22 and Sukhumvit) it wasn't that easy (during the day).
