Already banned in some countries. For good reasons. Most owners have no idea how to train and control them. If they attack some. Should be a huge financial penalty

Any dog that has attacked ant bittern some child needs to be put down.

The average dog bite cost alot money. A series of rabies shots, etc. And that is assuming someone was not hurt badly, like a small child. So, should we prioritize the health of nasty dogs over the well being of the human population?

Pit Bulls are in the news most every day somewhere in the world where u can read about what a sweet little thing it was until one day it ripped a kid or adults face off....the other problem with pit bulls is their jaw bite strength is several times higher than other dogs so when they clamp down they often have to be shot or poked in eyes before they let go.  They were breed to be killers.

 

Why anyone with half a brain would have a pit especially around a bunch of kids who no doubt will try and play with most any dog is illogical....there are thousands of dogs breeds that play with kids everyday with no biting at all.

 

Seems a lot of brain dead pit owners think having one somehow makes them a tough guy..until one day the dog decides to rip their arm off.

Agreed a pit-bull because f it's inherent breeding is an issue, therefore owners must take full responsibility for training, housing and where and who the dog is left alone with.

I have been around a lot of dogs that never once ripped anyone to shreds even when provoked over and over.  Pits give the massive number of non violent dogs a bad name.

 

I have a friend who has a pit bull rescuse place at his farm in usa...he has about 15 of them that he feeds and takes care of....in the last few years he has been attacked and seriouslly mauled 2 times but was lucky to make it out alive with lots of stiches and an arm half ripped off....if he kept a rescue for most dog breeds i suspect the biggest problem would be they try to lick you to death.  I would bet that sooner or later the pits will kill my friend.

It's a cruel solution. The dog will be kept chained up day and night with no exercise. It's temper will get worse.  The dog should have been humanely euthanised , it has tasted human blood and considers human children as fair game.

What a load of <deleted>e!  This breed is prone to brain farts and they just have to kill.  Had one living next door some years ago.  It seemed to live peacefully with a few cats but one day when owners were out I heard a cat in pain.  The dog had chomped it on its back and rib cage.  It just kept that up until the cat died.  Told the male owner when he came home.  He said that was the third cat the dog had killed and he was worried about the young kids living with them but his wife didn't want to get rid of the mut.

Ok, I could argue about that with you, as I see it as there are bad and good dog breeds. However, that has no point. What has a point, is that you say there are bad owners. However, you do not hear much about pudel attacks or labrador retriever attacking children. But now comes the big point. It is more risks with the breeds pitbull, rotweiler and so on. Let´s just sum it up like fighting dogs so we know what we are talking about. Now it just happens that we, humans, are at the top of the hierarchy among living and breeding things on our planet. Something, that means we have to adjust our environment to be safe for our children. If we then have bad owners, that means allowing these kind of breeds will create an unsafe environment.

Utter and absolute nonsense, you cannot train a poodle to be a sheep dog and you cannot train violence out of pit bulls, xl bullies and the like, aggression is in their DNA. If dogs are mans best friend why do you have to train any of them to behave themselves? you don't have to train cats do you.

Dogs are responsible for around 400k people a year needing hospital treatment in the USA alone for dog bites. This is a great channel. This woman kept the dog who savaged her 2 year old!

Let's put this in perspective, shall we?

 

"The top dog breed in the UK in 2022, as measured by number of registrations, was the Labrador Retriever breed. Some 44,311 retrievers were newly registered in the UK in 2022."

 

Divide the number of Labradors in the UK by the number of dog bites/attacks, and divide the number of Pit Bulls in the UK by the number of dog bites/attacks.

 

Oh, sorry, Pit Bulls are illegal in the the UK - I wonder why?

Giant, aged 2, the Pit Bull breed or Ban Dog that savaged its owner to death last week has been taken to his funeral in Pattaya.

He took part in a ceremony called "khor khama" in which he apologized to the corpse. 

 

To those that are "Confused" by my post, it was to primarily show how dangerous these dogs can be, and secondly, how ridiculous it is, (from a "civilised" point of view)  to have a dog apologise to the corpse of his owner that he has bitten to death:-

"Sorry I killed you by savagely biting you to death, Boss, I was just having a bad dream"!

To be honest, I am "Confused" as to how people can defend these "accidents" - these dogs are bred to be aggressive killers, and no matter how well they are trained/domesticated, they are known to be unpredictable, and can suddenly turn viciously on even their owners/family members who have loved and cared for them.
