Duck Duck Go Banned In Indonesia.

Featured Replies

I read in the Bangkok Post that duck duck go has been banned in Indonesia. This has been caused as ddg has the best privacy of any online browser. The government stated because of the browsers strict privacy people are watching porn and other undesirable websites. What total rubbish, it's all about the government can't spy on ddg users. Knowing what the Thai governments reaction will be, so any ddg users in Thailand should be prepared and look for another browser.

I never understood the anonymous search engine. The government can easily spy using the internet providers.

All Duck Duck Go does is allow you to clear your history easily and not use mass anonymous data like Google et al.

It provides no privacy in the way a VPN does.

Unless of course, the VPN is operated by NSA, CIA, MI5/6, Interpol or who knows by.

2024 ... there is NO privacy :coffee1:

Unless you drive an older ICEV, don't use a phone and or internet.  And pay with cash.

Wow! I had no idea older ICE vehicles were immune to traffic, security, and private cams. To say nothing of the phone broadcasting every detail of location and inferred intent in every ICE vehicle's driver's pocket.

Yeah, you keep believing your fantasy.

How is this Pattaya related? You don't have to watch porn in this City. You can enjoy the real deal, even with home delivery. Maybe a mod could move it to a more apropriate Forum?

Yeah, maybe the Indonesian forum where it's apparently banned 😆

So we aren't talking about some fast food chain then?

If you do identical searches using Google and DuckDuckGo (DDG), you'll find the Google returns are LOADED with ads right up front. I'm not saying DDG is comlpetely devoid of ads, but the results are better for finding info rather than what Amazon is trying to cram down your throat.

It's not just ads... Libel left google restricts conservative points of view and news whereas DuckDuckGo does not as was recently brought forth once again when they were caught restricting searches surrounding the recent assassination attempt.

The TOR browser's default search engine is DuckDuckGo.
However, the browser is relatively slow but enhances privacy and anonymity.

I don't think Indonesia is in in Thailand
