Pattaya — A train crushed an unidentified man laying on a railway in Pattaya to death early Saturday morning, August 3rd, 2024.

The incident occurred on the railway tracks in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Emergency rescue personnel and police from the Banglamung Police Station responded to the scene at 02:46 AM after being notified of the horrific incident.

Upon arrival, authorities found the body of an unidentified man, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, lying lifeless on the railway tracks. A 607 train, traveling from Map Ta Phut to Phawai Lopburi, was found stopped around 100 meters away from the crushed body. The train driver was waiting to provide a statement to the police.

Presumably he saw the body before  or felt the impact after?

Bad place to take a nap. RIP

These sorts of stories are not uncommon. I can't figure out how someone, no matter how drunk, might decide "oh yeah, take a nap on railroad tracks. What could go wrong?" Although the wooden ties are called "sleepers"....

This the fella that lives in the lil concrete hut next to the rail line at Soi Khao noi ?

that fella had/has some serious mental health issue... or a hella drug habit !

I would suspect he saw the body. He wouldn't notice any impact in a train.

Think it said he saw the body on the tracks, tooted his horn, but no way could the train be stopped in time.
