Pattaya — A motorcyclist in Pattaya was critically injured after a car collided with his bike.

The accident took place at 1:00 AM on August 8th, 2024, on Sukhumvit Road near the Chaiyaphruek intersection, heading towards Sattahip, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Rescue volunteers were quickly dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities found a gray Honda Jazz car with severe front-end damage after crashing into the rear of a red and black Honda Wave 100 motorcycle, which was lodged in the front of the car.

The motorcycle rider, an unidentified Thai man believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, was found face down on the road, severely injured with both legs and arms broken. Rescue personnel provided initial first aid before urgently transporting him to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the Honda Jazz, 27-year-old Ms. Netnapha (family name withheld by police), appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, noted the police. She claimed that she had been driving on the right side of Sukhumvit Road and did not see the motorcycle until it was too late. She crashed into it, causing the rider to fall and suffer injuries. After the accident, she was very distressed but managed to call for emergency services once she calmed down

No hint that he was in wrong direction.
Near the Chaiyaphruek intersection sounds like he had to go right and slow down to (U) turn?

Bloody dangerous on this race track. When in Pattaya I avoid it with the scooter as good as possible.

The picture makes it look that way. But we seem to get left to right inversion in many a picture.

Anyone riding a motorbike at 1 am is taking a big risk. I bet 50% of the drivers are pi**ed.
