Former US Soldier, 82, Assaulted by Drunk Thai Man in Pattaya Park

Featured Replies

It didn't help him to be a "former soldier".

Jogging in a youth park at night ... aren't there other locations to pick up young men?

Oh those u.s. americans ... 🤦🏼‍♂️

(it will be funny to read all the incoming comments from gay, u.s. american ex-soldiers ... 5555. But I won't reply anyway.)

A little picky today are we? He looks pretty good for 82, great in fact. Even taking beatings at that age.

Real bodies are not perfect. People have some flab, some fat. Perfect bodies are for movie stars. Remember that next time you are working out (or looking for a man).

Perhaps to indicate that he is a disciplined active physically  fit gentleman?

Sure, an office clerk can't have those attributes 😂. He's apparently not disciplined but creating chaos on his desk and don't do anything to give his spine a relief. You're funny🤗

Who are you talking to?

"Those leaving comments here who are condemning this guy for running without a shirt"

Do I need to explain every post to you?

For goodness sake.

This is Thailand, not New York.

My wife and I NEVER felt threatened in Thailand. At any time, day or night.

Not anymore...

But tik tok creators say Thailand is safe... I guess they not go far from their hotel rooms.

Kudos to you at 82👏But...let me say this....put a shirt on if your going to sweat otherwise you will get a cold ,and at 82 ..... well. . pneumonia

I can never understand shirtless joggers ,sweat pouring off them , use a t shirt ....to soak it up

It's actually better to not wear a shirt. A cotton shirt stays wet in a humid climate, with no shirt the sweat can evaporate off your body.

Kudos to the guy for keeping in shape.

Kind think he is a former Marine, Green Beret, SOG, or similar hard core Vietnam Veteran for doing the night ops thing.  Most likely a lifer.

Don't find too many hippy draftees doing that crap at night.

We are mostly high and chilling by 20:00 hours

Amazing AN users here - blaming the victim AGAIN!  Who really cares if any older man wants to job anytime during the night or day with or without a shirt on.  Until recently, I did my daily walks at 3AM until my wife made me stop after I ran into a 4-meter Python.    I can recall jogging throughout my life at all hours of the day or night in many different countries.  I have always thought of Thailand as a friendly place but now maybe times have changed or the people have changed.  Stay safe

I often point out how, many on here, turn on the farang, like a pack of savage dogs. They seem want to blame the farang, even though, every day, even on AN, we see how violent many Thais can be...

Either your joking or you're an idiot or maybe both

Amazing how many people that it's perfectly acceptable to jog without a shirt.  Bare-chested is solely for the beach, not the beach promenade, not the park, not the shopping centre.  Still, there are 'bogans' on many forums......

Im suprised he can still run at 82😮

I'm 80 yo, a former marathon runner but now I'm restricted to a 90 minutes walk daily. I only walk at 6.30 am because in the dark I'm prone to prowling dogs and morons on motor bikes. I've never had any trouble with other people and around 20 people say good morning to me every morning. Is Pattaya Park a known area for gay men especially wearing no shirt. Just a thought.

It is considered a dangerous area after dark

Locals all know that. Not blaming him though.

I'd like to know where was his hospice caretaker while all this was going on

Good thinking Jim 😃

I call BS.

Most of Pattaya is safe at night.

A dark wooded area like that park isn't.

I'm sure the victim knew that.

He took the risk.

Wonder if we will get the rest of the story.

Because there sure is a big chunk missing.

Hope he recovers quickly.

Why it's mentioned he's a former soldier?

Is this important,? NO.

Would it be mentioned if he's an office clerk? NO.

Is there an explanation?

You wouldnt know... It's a Veteran thing......🙄

This 82 year old fit man, has done nothing wrong. What kind of people do we have on this forum?

How do you know he did nothing wrong?

Where's your link?

Have you got a magical crystal ball?

Were you there, at the crime scene?

Stop making things up.

I agree with what type of people do we have on this forum, we have hostile, antagonizers, maybe the jogger was an AN forum member.

That hypocritical irony rears its ugly head again!
