Correct while there is sufficient budget to support EV 3.5 for both imported and domestically BEV's

I suspect they mean B75,000 in 2025

 

I don't think the subsidy has any effect on the price, it's just more profit for the automaker to encourage them to build factories.

BEV + PHEV had a 18% market share for the entire year in 2023 and then @Bandersnatch kindly informs us that sales had collapscollapsed to 14.8% in July 2024.

Down is the way forward for EVs.

Yes of course, that's why for the last 7 months running the EV market share has dropped, oops, it hasn't it's grown.

Funny how the cherry 🍒 farmer highlighted a month with collapsing EV sales. The EV propaganda machine must be in septic shock 😲 now that EV sales are falling globally.

In 2024, global sales of electric vehicles (EVs) are continuing to rise. The first half of the year saw a significant increase, with sales up by 20% compared to the same period in 20231. By the end of May, over 5 million EVs had been sold worldwide1.

For the period Feb 1st 2024 to 31st July 2024 YOY sales numbers are down -12.07 compared with same period for 2023 for Thailand BEV

And ICE sales numbers are even worse because EV sales are growing and stealing market share from ICE.

It you that is  misleading people and economical with the truth

as you didn't mention that YOY sales in numbers are down - 12.07%

From February 1st 2023 to 31st July 2023 33.844 EV's were registered 

From February 1st 2024 to 31st July 2024  29,758 EV's were registered

33,844 -12.07% = 29,759

In Sales numbers ICE vehicles are selling in numbers that only EV Brands can wish for maybe in 10 years from now

Why don't you post the even worse ICE figures demonstrating EV's market share is increasing every month for the last 7 months, go on, what holding you back?

As you well know before EV ICE had 100% market share now there is more choice available

such as HEV, PHEV, FCEV, and BEV it obvious to everyone that ICE could no longer command 100% market share

Likewise we all know that the EV brands aren't satisfied with sales numbers in Thailand hence price reductions and wanting to amend the terms of EV 3.0 subsidy agreement

2.5 yrs later, and this is what you came back with, even after it's pointed out, all of what you state is wrong, especially in reference to Thailand.

 

... actually same price or cheaper for better specs

... very low maintenance cost

... LFP battery will last longer than the car

... plenty of CSs in TH.  Most people charge at home, and don't go O&A that much to be concerned.  Been around the whole country, a few times, with our BEV, never a problem charging.
