Dear Folks,

 

I have a bad tooth infection, and I know I need this tooth, one which has already had root-canal therapy, extracted....ASAP.

 

But, The Question IS:  Do you think I am high on Amoxicillin?

 

And, is it even possible to get HIGH on Penicillin?

 

Personally, I think it is.

 

I am feeling a bit spacey, even more spaced-out than usual.

 

My pain is flowing away, though, and so I do not care much.

 

Or, maybe it is this incessant rain, recently, and especially this evening....that makes me feel out of touch with reality.

 

So....

 

If you take ENOUGH Amoxicillin, can this cause one to experience a Break with Reality?

 

Also, I wonder:  How much Amoxy is just too much Amoxy?

 

Fortunately, I have a dynamite dentist, and therefore soon I will be weaned off these antibiotics....before....I become addicted.....maybe.

 

Lastly, I will tell you....

 

No matter how bad the pain gets....I never take anything stronger than Ibuprofen, something which I have always found works rather well.

 

I have never enjoyed dental pain, and I guess many of you might feel as do I.

 

I feel sorry for those who have not the means to seek out good dental care....because....

I am blessed to have one of the best dentists here in Thailand, compared to others in Taiwan, that I have ever had.

 

Also, they are super nice.....my dentists and my office receptionists.

But, I am not HIGH on Amoxy.

 

I think I might be a little high on PAIN.....!

 

Pain, for me, has always been one of the most potent aphrodisiacs.

Both pain and Afros.

 

My best adivce to all young people is to take care of your teeth.

 

And, avoid sugar, both for dental health and also in order to avoid Afrosclerosis.

Seems you may have got rid of the clap, although it can't be confirmed, but the syphilis is still clearly plaguing you. As you know, it affects the brain and it is known to cause people to write all kinds of bizarre posts like this one on AN.

Are you sure, it's Amoxicillin? And not Psilocybin ?????????🥴

Amoxicillin can make you high if it cures your clap before the wife finds out.

For the clap, standard treatment is:

 

Ceftriaxone: 500 mg administered as a single intramuscular injection.

 

and/or

 

Azithromycin: A single dose of 1 gram (normally four 250mg tablets) taken all at once orally.

 

*Note that Amoxicillin is not used to treat the clap. It is mainly used to treat respiratory tract infections, UTIs, skin infections, GI infections, and dental infections.

Not high. It doesn't have any euphoric or psychoactive effect, but possibly a feeling of delirium and overall discomfort and disorientation from being overwhelmed from a strong dose. Drink more water. Rest more. Don't take it on an empty stomach.

What is normality? 

If you are not feeling well from a high dose of Amoxicillin it could also be an issue of toxicity or a negative interaction with another drug being taken at the same time. Read about negative drug interactions with Amoxicillin.
