A foreign national suspected of sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl has been detained for questioning. Initially, the suspect has denied the allegations. However, police confirm they have sufficient evidence and are preparing to file for an arrest warrant. A neighbor stated that the foreigner frequently visited the victim's house and urged strict legal action if found guilty.

 

According to recent social media posts in Phuket, the call for swift police action came after a 3-year-old girl was reported to have been sexually assaulted in Rawai. The victim was sent to the hospital by relatives on September 21, with severe injuries and fatigue symptoms. The girl's family reported the crime to Chalong Police Station on September 23.

 

At 2:00 PM on September 25, Police Major General Sinlert Sukhum, Commander of the Phuket Provincial Police, interrogated a 45-year-old American man suspected of committing the assault. The incident allegedly occurred at a residence in Saiyuan Village, Rawai, Phuketm, reported Manager Online. 

 

The suspect was apprehended by Phuket Provincial Police and Immigration officers at a residence in Soi Ta-Iat, Chalong, Phuket. During the initial questioning, the suspect denied any wrongdoing. Police Major General Sinlert Sukhum stated that, despite the denial, investigators had gathered substantial evidence and planned to request an arrest warrant from the Phuket Provincial Court soon.

Local resident Mr. Baw (alias) mentioned that he discovered the incident early in the morning when he heard people making commotion. When he inquired, he was told the girl was bleeding and needed to be taken to the hospital.

 

The child allegedly identified a foreigner as the perpetrator. Mr. Baw noted that he had seen the foreigner visit the victim's house about twice a month and occasionally brought his wife. He often brought diapers, snacks, and milk for the child.

 

However, on the day of the incident, he arrived empty-handed and appeared intoxicated. Mr. Baw expressed sympathy for the child, having known her since she was a baby, and urged that the foreigner be detained as he poses a danger to society and could potentially harm other children in the future.

 

The suspect reportedly entered Thailand on a Non-Immigrant Visa (NON 90) on December 8, 2023, with permission to stay until March 12, 2025.

This foreign man visited the girl’s aunt many times before to party together. The foreign man, the girl’s aunt, and two other people were seen partying together on Sunday night before the incident was revealed.

From reporting as I read it he often came with his wife? I hope there is no more children involved

An American man, suspected of sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl in the Rawai area of Phuket, firmly denied the accusations against him. However, police are adamant they have gathered enough evidence to warrant his arrest.

 

The child sex abuse case came to light when a Thai man named Bao found the three year old girl crying in pain outside her home in the Rawai district of Phuket on Monday, September 23. He checked on the girl and discovered blood flowing from her private parts, so he and other locals rushed the girl to Vachira Phuket Hospital.

 

MRG Online reported today, September 26, that the medical examination revealed the girl was weak and had a torn vagina.

 

Bao pointed out the suspicious foreign man, later identified as a 45 year old American national, as the girl told him that a foreign man hurt her.

Bao said the unnamed foreigner arrived at the girl’s home on Sunday night and appeared drunk. He came to drink with the girl’s aunt, named Jiab, and two others.

According to Bao, this foreign man visited the house before. He often came twice a month and sometimes brought his wife. Bao added that this foreigner and his wife bought snacks, milk, and diapers for the girl.

 

Chalong Police Station officers summoned the girl’s aunt for questioning yesterday, September 25. They also reviewed security camera footage near the community and found the American man left the scene in the early hours of Monday morning on a motorcycle.

 

Police tracked down the foreign man and managed to accompany him to the police station yesterday. This American man entered Thailand under a non-immigrant visa on December 8 of last year and was allowed to stay in the country until March 12 of next year, 2025.

 

Officers reported that the American man denied the accusation but they did not clarify further details of the questioning or the excuse or explanation provided by the foreigner.

 

Police told MGR Online that they had sufficient evidence to link the American man to the crime and would be seeking an arrest warrant from the Phuket Provincial Court very soon.

Yes. A medical exam by people trained in treating sexual assault.

You readily accepted one Thai man's statement as a reliable statement.  Had you taken the time to read the original  article before your rush to judgement, you would have seen the following;

The medical team have not yet confirmed the sexual assault or provided an update on her condition.

 

It is only in the second article that there is a confirmation of injury. For all you actually know,  someone else could have been the rapist. Children can be threatened and intimidated into changing their version of events, especially if the perpetrator is family member or a neighbour.

Before condemning people, reliable evidence should be gathered, including semen and pubic hair collection. Rapists  often leave this behind. Have you not learnt anything from the too frequent blaming of Burmese people for local murders that a case should always be investigated and facts established?

What kind of visa has he? Can somebody  explain?  Can't be retirement visa.

 

Anyway he propably will stay for ever in Thailand....in Thai jail there the rip off his a.........

If that guy is proven to be the culprit then no punishment can be severe enough.

With that said I don't know too many 3 year olds that can speak any language well enough to explain what happened especially  in a situation like this. I just hope this guy isn't being convicted before proof it was him. There would be DNA left behind that could be matched although that process in thailand has been suspect in the past. 

Just because he has visited in the past and brought goods, supplies and candy for children isn't proof nor is visiting a drug party with numerous people drunk and on drugs. I suspect it will be found to be him no matter what.  

 

I think everyone there should be investigated and charged as they supposedly had her in their care, or lack there of.

Post up one officer whose only job is to repeatedly yell "STOP RESISTING" while blocking any camera shots from onlookers.   This allows the rest of the officers go to work "subduing" the "uncooperative" suspect.  These child sex offenders are dangerous and have nothing to lose so often a lot of force is needed.

Somebody appears to have committed a heinous crime, but we don't know for sure who it was, and with a crime this serious there should not be a rush to judgment. There needs to be some pretty solid evidence as the consequences of conviction are immense.

Could have entered on a tourist visa, and then got an education visa.

Cops are not that smart in USA and usually think they are justified doing anything they want. Hence so many getting caught on camera doing bad to the person they are talking to.
