In a high-profile fraud investigation in Thailand, the Consumer Protection Police Division has impounded several luxury vehicles owned by gold retailers Mae Tuck and Pa Bia, accused of cheating customers with impure gold jewellery. Officers led by Pol Maj Gen Withaya Sriprasertparp seized four opulent cars in Bangkok and Pathum Thani, including a Porsche, a Lamborghini, a Ford Mustang, and a Volkswagen van, valued at 50 million baht. Previously, five other luxury automobiles were confiscated, totalling 120 million baht.

The couple, Kornkanok "Mae Tuck" Suwannabut and Kanpon "Pa Bia" Rueang-aram, attracted online attention by showcasing an extravagant lifestyle. However, the police determined their social media posts had been manipulated to exaggerate their wealth. Investigations have also frozen 24 million baht in their bank accounts and scrutinized their holdings, including nine houses, 16 plots of land, and luxury watches worth over 28.7 million baht.

Adding intrigue, police are extending their probe to include celebrities and influencers involved in marketing the couple's dubious gold products. Arrested on September 30, Mae Tuck and Pa Bia remain detained until early November, with authorities aiming to conclude the investigation by then.

I bet this revelation woke someone up ................LOL

I hope the cars, property and land are sold at auction and the funds used to reimburse those who are victims.

Seems to me that Thai people are easy to scam. Just read about someone selling cheap gold on line! LOL! Why would anyone sell gold cheap when they can walk tom the nearest gold shop and get the full price for it??🤣

That's a poor generalization. There's a fool born every minute. (I've been one several times, but it usually involved women).  Just look at all of China after their "cultural revolution" or the continued movement to communism in the form of socialism in the US.  Look what Venezuela did to themselves.  Look at all the tourist on the Spanish coast who fall victim to the scammers there.  I could go on and on, but I won't the subject doesn't warrant it.
