What happens with money in the bank when the farang dies?
Thanks, @omegaman, for the very comprehensive answer! My question was really only concerning the money that is tied up in Thailand because of the EOS financial requirements, but I appreciate your taking the time to draw the big picture. Lots of stuff to think about! You refer to, "she has access to the account." I assume that is an arrangement I have to make with the bank, so that my wife, who is not a joint owner (and cannot be because of the financial requirement restrictions) can have access to the funds. How does one refer to that type of arrangement (ideally in Thai)? When I go to the bank I'd like to be able to tell them exactly what I want. Thanks! -

Accident Fatal Pickup Collision at U-Turn Claims Driver's Life in Phetchaburi
I am not surprised at all.. I see so many pick ups overloaded and speeding driving on Phetkasem road everyday, many times they even drive on the right lane. Often they are loaded for 2 or even 3 trucks. But the where is the RTP to check and control?? And almost every 500m there is a U-turn. In my country sometime you have to drive a few kilometres to make a safe U turn on a fly-over or so, but here every petrol sation need to have one and all businesses, streets, and just name it... No wonder so many accidents -

All Vaccines Will Kill You - The evidence is overwhelming
Jeff at Coffee and Covid has written a very good response as well . RS just might be on his script writing team ? 555 an excerpt from today from Jeff applauding the work of the "team" : " It is so easy to lose the sound of the orchestra amidst social media’s doom-scrolling cacophony, where every minor setback proves that Chicken Little was right, and the conservative sky is falling. But if you can tune out the panic merchants for just a moment, you can hear the steady rhythm of an administration not flailing, but conducting. Like notes on a score sheet, one by one, day by day, agencies closed down, lies dismantled, gatekeepers dismissed. What we are witnessing isn’t chaos; it’s choreography. And the tempo is accelerating.ALWAYS WINNING ☙ Friday, May 30, 2025 ☙ C&C NEWS....check it out -

Denied Entry
Yes, btw I wasn't the only one there that day being flown back. There were other folks too, not really sure what their situation was. Some were arguing with the airline crews about choosing different flight/destination or not wanting to stay in the detention center, but I dont think it worked for them. -

Denied Entry
Hold on, let me guess a second! Did you say Thai female officer? OPS! Nothing new 🥱 However, when folks come without a visa or with a tourist visa, they should just answer: I come to Thailand just to travel and enjoy the country. Nothing else -

Giving the lonely false hope
I remember that guy - all dressed up like he should have been in some sort of carnival parade . What was the story behind this ? Not sure if he was lonely or not - looked quite cheery when I saw him.
