If you care to take a look at it, it says 'departure card'. So it stands to reason that it is valid until you depart. They used to request the card number when doing a 90 day report, but they have stopped doing that now so it's possible it may no longer be relevant, but there's no harm in hanging on to it. It doesn't weigh a lot does it. -

ChatGPT agrees that more COVID vaccination --> more cases
Good question .... and I think the 'experts' were hung up on the historical vaccination-based eradication schemes such as smallpox and polio. The theory is if enough people are vaccinated the virus will go away, and this will relieve pressure on the hospitals (the primary 'reason' for vaccination). But smallpox, polio (and HPV, measles, mumps, rubella and others) do not mutate, whereas COVID mutates rapidly. So if your approach is to treat COVID like a cold or flu, stay at home and suck it up, then it's up to you if you get vaccinated. But if you run to hospital every time you get a sniffle (like they do in China and India) then regular vaccination has some theoretical value. -

Buying a new car.........you'd think it was easy
My wife had already asked her not to interrupt…. By that stage I’d had enough… Correct - I mixed it up, it was an Everest. Me too…. I just can’t be bothered with that stuff once a line has been crossed…. I’ll just walk away…. ….sat in the Raptor with my son & played with the toys ! Wife dealt with the rest which was more polite than I would have been. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
OK, I've found it: what I'd like to know is if you are married, neither of you works, and both of you are over 65, are you permitted to file separately? (I'm not clear whether if you file with a spouse you can both claim exemptions c), d) & e). -

coming to thailand in february for 6 months
This is just a silly thread that comes up every few weeks. Better make a "pinned post" explaining that it is the duty of the airline to check if you comply with the tourist/immigratino rules of the destination. Some airlines companies will, some will not follow that rule. But if you take the risk of flying from the US/Europe/anywhere and being denied entry in Thailand while you can buy an onward ticket , don't start complaining. -

WISE transfers taking a minimum of 2 days now?!
Anything over 1000 USD has never been instant for me to Bangkok Bank, next day usually as the other user said. If your friend needs more instantly, they can send it in multiple transfers of 1000 or equivalent and the fees are only a few dollars more that way.
