Anticipation is bubbling over in Pattaya as the city prepares to host not one, but two sensational events that promise to turn up the heat this weekend: the Pattaya International Tattoo Festival and the eagerly awaited Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race 2024.

Kicking off the festivities, Central Marina is poised to become the epicentre of creativity with the tattoo festival running from tomorrow, Saturday, November 2, to Sunday.

Ink enthusiasts can look forward to jaw-dropping competitions featuring world-class tattoo artists, alongside the dazzling Miss Bikini Tattoo contest, where contestants will flaunt their inked masterpieces in eye-catching swimwear.

Meanwhile, tomorrow’s bikini beach race is set to dash along a stunning 5-kilometre route on Pattaya’s pristine shores, kicking off from Central Pattaya.

This isn’t just any race, it’s a glitzy spectacle featuring celebrities, models, and social media influencers, including the fabulous Miss Grand Thailand 2024. As if that weren’t enough, live performances by popular Thai artists will keep spirits high, blending music with physical prowess, said an event organiser.

“The energy in Pattaya is palpable as we prepare for these extraordinary events. We’re thrilled to welcome participants from all over.”

There’s still time to join the action, with registration open for both the tattoo festival and the bikini beach race, welcoming both Thai and international participants to sign up and be part of the enchantment.

Central Pattaya and Central Marina are gearing up to transform into bustling hives of activity. The tattoo festival will shine a spotlight on artistic skill, while the beach race will celebrate the harmony of athleticism and beauty against Pattaya’s breathtaking coastline, an event spokesperson added.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and tourists alike to experience the dynamic culture and stunning scenery that Pattaya has to offer.”

Crowds are expected to gather in droves, solidifying Pattaya’s status as a hotspot for major cultural and social events. Both occasions are set to not only entertain but also give a hearty boost to the local economy by drawing visitors from near and far, Pattaya News reported.

With the weekend just around the corner, Pattaya is ready to dive into a whirlpool of excitement and activity, as the tattoo festival and bikini beach race are sure to captivate the imaginations of all who attend.

Hmm

It seems to me that there is never much advance notice of things like this.

Like this.  It's today, and I find out today.

I like the photo of the girls in the heading of this forum. And why? Partly because none of them have tattoos that I can see, anyway. Tattoos are a turnoff for me, not only for women but men also. I judge a man's IQ partially on the number of tattoos he has. The more tattoos, the lower the IQ.

Farang beer belly competition ?   or how about a good old fashioned shin kicking competition, ?

Will they be having a renunion in about 30 years, be nice to see how all this  "creativity" stands the tests of time and gravity

why would imagination be required, are the tattoos not on display?

Or a moron's parade. The women who run in that race are clean, healthy, normal women, not prostitutes shooting tequila and taking hits off a vapourizer.

I'm with you on the tattoos.

Is the one on the far right in the first picture thinking "Oh God! I hope that was just a fart!"

The ilusion of fresh air? ....

I always think of tatoos in the same way I view brands on a cow or calf.

Most are not pretty, and when they get old, they all look faded ande ugly.

Just my opinion of course.

Every picture tells a story ... sounds like you have a blank canvas and misunderstanding of I.Q.   Socks and sandals high on your fashion list?

tattoo all over screams .....  wh....

tattoo ink linked to autoimmune disease

for the nay sayers as usual

Tattooing can trigger autoimmune diseases
Some reports suggest that getting a tattoo can trigger autoimmune diseases like lupus, sarcoidosis, and lichen planus. Tattoo ink can activate immune cells, and the process of getting a tattoo can burden the immune system.

I do have a blank canvas, at least no tattoos. I believe I have a very good understanding of I.Q., intelligence quotation. It is a number representing someone's ability to reason. Reasoning is a delusive activity of our intellect. Its purpose is to make us believe we understand reality, which is complete chaos. Reasoning has practical uses, but its purpose is to delude us into believing understand and are in control of our lives and the universe, which we certainly are not.

I judge a man's IQ on whether he smokes or not.

Do you smoke?

In my experience girls with tattoos always f on the first date and are much more likely to take it up the date as they have a good pain threshold.

Never in my life. I always played sports & like the gym.

That's another good indicator of IQ, I agree.

That is another good reason why I don't like women or men with tattoos.

Must remember to get back to this after the coffee has kicked in.

Judging anyone besides on their actual intelligence from tattoos doesn't work, as it has no bearing on anything. I'm the only one in my family besides my mom that doesn't have a tattoo and all my children have well above average IQ's, and my dad, who also had a tattoo, had a genius level IQ, so that theory doesn't fly. Some of my friends also have tats and I've known them as very intelligent people for many years. I don't like seeing them in women, especially my daughters, but that's their choice, and people have reasons they get them, although I'm sure they might regret it later.

And again, my dad was extremely intelligent and he smoked 3 packs a day for over 60 years until they did him in at 79. It's an addiction, and many who get addicted are very intelligent people who made bad choices, much based on peer pressure when young.
