the news you read about those people musk fired it incorrect for a start. They were censoring 1 side of the political debate, not keeping the info accurate at all. They were responsible for banning the POTUS. Musk has gone into detail why he got rid if 80% of the unnecessary employees and activists, and basically streamlined the company, he  has also said in interviews that 99% of political donations from Twitter went to Democrats.
