Microsoft’s free PC Manager app for Windows 10 and 11 gets even better

I hope this will be of some interest to Windows 10 & 11 users.

Microsoft just released a new version of PC Manager, the free tuning tool for optimizing Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems that competes with CCleaner.

PC Manager 3.14 now allows you to view your internet speed on the desktop directly in the Windows taskbar. This means you can see how fast you’re surfing in real time, as reported by Window Latest, and you’re able to see both downstream and upstream speeds.

Thx. Followed the link and got the PC Manager screen => details => The 'get' button is not highlighted but it says that the App should work on my Laptop.

????

Same ....... nothing to download.

It's available in the Microsoft Store. As far as I remember one must be logged on to that store to be able to get any Apps from there.

I just installed it on my Windows 10 desktop PC.

Microsoft sites require JS Script to be allowed. Could be the reason.

This link works for me, even without signing in. I clicked the download button and it worked. But, as I already have it, I did not continue.

By the way, use the search bar and do a search for PC Manager. It might be already installed by default, as mine was.

This works when cannot download/install from M store.

PC Manager may be downloaded through Microsoft Store - Generation Project (v1.2.3) [by @rgadguard & mkuba50]

1. Click the above link in your browser.
2. Select "PackageFamilyName" on the search bar's left side drop menu.
3. Copy "Microsoft.MicrosoftPCManager_8wekyb3d8bbwe" into the search field.
4. Click on the right side ✔ symbol.

For some reason, adguard.net will sometimes not find this App. Probably because some of its servers are not located in the US. Keep clicking the ✔ symbol a few times until you see a result.

5. When presented with a list of files, click the link for: Microsoft.MicrosoftPCManager_3.9.3.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixbundle

Your browser might block the download for security reasons. The provided link goes to a legitimate MS server.

6. From File Explorer, click on the Microsoft.MicrosoftPCManager file and Windows will install it for you.

By doing so, if not having already, it provided a link to install, (Win10) and no sign in necessary, though I may have been signed in, as I use hotmail.

Remember to uncheck the 2 boxes before opening, so Windows doesn't change your settings to use all Windows apps, which I don't use any, except hotmail via Chrome.

Above is the current version.

Was your installation successful?

Virus scanners also may cause issues.

Yes, it worked.

Just choose the newest version, I took the second in the list.

Btw. My VPN landed in the US when I installed it. Not sure if that does matter ... on request i can send the .exe ... cannot place it here i think ..

Good to hear it worked for you.

Yes I too think we cannot place an exe here.

For me it was installed by default. Found it by doing a search on the Task Bar search button.

Normally, there should not be an issue getting it from the MS Store - but sometimes Virus scanners, Firewalls, VPN's etc create issues.

Good OP, thanks.

Downloaded and installed on W11 with no issues.

Installed Thursday ...
