Immigration - totally useless

Did you not use the autofill? (enter passport number select country and press the search button)

You must remember TIT the middle name has no asterisk because the majority of Thais do not have a middle name.

I have Thai friends that entered on foreign passports they must provide TM47's too.

They certainly have. 

You mention CW in OP.

In the return envelop they will also include the photocopies that you posted with the TM47 

 

With online report...assume you used magnifying glass auto fill after entry of name and pp # field

What does this even mean?

 

The system works if you use it correctly. They key points seem to be (as far as I understand it - correct me if wrong anyone):

1/ Have a valid TM30 with the correct address.

2/ Ensure the TM47 is filled in with a correct matching address on the correct time schedule.

3/ Do not have any international travel since the last successful online 90 day report, otherwise it does not work on your next 90 day after return.

Great news it works for you and many others. 

I can assure you it is fractured for many and it's not down to incorrect filing in of the fields.

I have (like many) been rejected even using auto fill after previous successful report. 

OK Jack, sorry. I shall not post my positive experience again. I realise it doesn't help to rectify the situation. Sorry again.

For almost 10 years with a non O-A visa I always file notification by mail with EMS tracking and enclosed post stamp return envelope. Only once did I never receive the return notification. For about seven years Tracking was acknowledged by an agent mark. Then no acknowledged mark but still received new 90 day notice in the mail. 

Now I have a LTR visa requiring notification annually, simply go to OSS ,Chamchuri Square Building, Bangkok (next to an MRT station) that has a window for LTR only. Submit LTR notification, receive next date placed in passport - 10 minutes.

It's quite easy to post negative threads on AN, you'll get lots of likes but it won't make your life easier. 

 

I find dealing with government departments in Thailand quite easy and straight forward once you understand how their systems work. 

 

Maybe Thailand is not for you.

Please explain how this applies having a 90 day report rejected for no discernible reason after using the autofill to populate the boxes with data from the Immigration computer

Which implies that it will hardly ever work for anyone who enjoys 2 or 3 overseas holidays a year. This undue requirement by itself proves that their system is rubbish.

It can be confusing when filling in Thai Immigration papers, when for example, the boxes to fill in dates have the day at the end of one line and then month and year at the start of the next. WHY they cannot have dates to be put as the conventional DD/MM/YYYY I cannot understand.
