It’s funny that the topic is Liberal meltdown but all I see is comments from Republicans still disrespecting the Democrats and gloating over the win.

I think the meltdown is coming from the right knowing now that the future that has been decided is very bleak. That said, the Republicans finally won fair and square so congratulations on the win.

So happy I am 15,000 km away.

They are going to have to accept that theirs are minority views.🤣

True, in this election we are clearly in the minority. Do tell, in history has the majority always been right? We will all live with the result around the globe …

Recommend reading the Atlantic Daily analysis I posted. I too am glad to be out of the physical USA … estranged.

Strange, that there are still those who want to claim that Trump is a Conservative. He actively caters to that group but shares none of their core values. For him, it is all about power and revenge.

Well, he's got the power, so his enemies better be afraid.

Why? are you saying that people now have no free speech and will start to fall out of windows as in Russia?

Perhaps there is a sub species of Homo Sapiens where people that believe HRC, Biden and Harris are actually capable of being a good POTUS can be filed.

Seriously, I know you are "upset" that your cult leader lost to the worst man on the planet, but there is more to be exercised about than someone saying humans that are Democrats are a species.

I don't have a cult leader and I'm not upset but like most Europeans I'm appalled, on the other hand we are accustomed to the Americans way of thinking, a bible in one hand and a gun in the other.

Americans are stupid, they elect a criminal for president. Trump fascist should be in jail, not in the White House.

Bummer for you, then.

(But still awesome for us right-thinking Americans who elected him. #winning)

We do have some inkling of Trumps character which doesn't put him in a good light but the fact that he has no class and is dishonest played no role in why he, or rather his party, was elected, it was a pragmatic economic choice with the vain hope that he could wave a magic wand and make a 35 trillion dollar debt disappear.

I don't remember any time in which Trump or any supporter said they thought he would eliminate the debt.

IMO he won simply because his opponent was Harris, a candidate so bad that nothing she supported eg abortion, war in the M E, being "black" and female ergo supporting blacks and females over white males, and so called "green" policies was enough to even win her the popular vote. She did worse than Biden with Latinos, Blacks, women, Muslims.

Given most of the faux cases against him were obviously political attempts to eliminate him from the candidacy, I think it's entirely fair that he is now immune from any possibility of prison till at least 2029. By then the faux cases will have been quietly dropped.

I fully support him if he wants to investigate the use of the FBI and the justice ( LOL ) department to target him, and I hope some of them do get prison time.

LOL. We are not all Republicans, but we have been taking <deleted> from your side for 4 years, so it's payback if we are "disrespecting" the Dems, and they really deserve to be disrespected.

Gloating, yes indeed, I've been waiting for 4 years to gloat over the demise of the Dems.

If, as you claim, you are not in the Harris cult, why are you so exercised by what her opponents say?

I'm sure that you won't be disappointed, there are some here who, no doubt, feel that Harris or Trump would make a positive difference to their lives, I have however no such illusions and although America is losing its earlier power and influence in world affairs I had assumed that the leader of such an important country to have at least some semblance of sophistication, elegance and integrity, it just goes to show that one shouldn't assume anything.

I had assumed that the leader of such an important country to have at least some semblance of sophistication, elegance and integrity

???????????? If you live in any other western country you can hardly say things like that seriously. I've never considered western leaders to be particularly good at their jobs, but the present lot are abominable. Need only look at Starmer to know what I mean.

Did Biden have any of those qualities? :cheesy:

True, integrity isn't a hallmark of Starmers, actually it isn't a hallmark of most politicians but with Trump its absence is excessive, apart from everything else I found the reports of him wriggling out of paying firms completely or partially for work done on his buildings particularly loathsome, its no wonder that he had difficulty finding good lawyers to represent him in his many legal cases.

What do her opponents say? I know very little of Harris, I would have preferred anybody but Trump, apart from his failings as a decent human being I was concerned about his remarks regarding Nato, Ukraine, the Paris agreement, his disregard of global warming, his nearness to dictators and his apparent willingness to use the military against the civil population. His anti-wokeness I regard as a plus point. We shall have to wait and see what really transpires during his term as president
