You Don't

Democrats got absolutely crushed 🙂

Their policies suck and only the stupid, low IQ and poorly educated fell for their charade this round.

Whine all you want on this forum, apparently it's all you have.

The hard reality is you're absolutely powerless and your vote and opinion were / are meaningless.

Trump loves the poorly educated. He said so himself. Easier marks for the greatest con man in history.

I'm concerned that the extremist isolationist nativist ideology of maga fascism will tend to look at expats as traitors similar to the stance of Putin and that with little doubt could prove costly to expats. I would also expect cuts in consular services at US embassies.

That's a given from the off. Plus it's a net outflow of US funds to a foreign state.

An example from Putin. Russians abroad are finding it very hard to renew passports abroad and if they can very long physical lines.

The poor will always remain poor.  Most have no incentive to work or better their lives.

Personal choice.  Not the government’s responsibility directly.  Most local governments have programs to help.  Those that take advantage and apply themselves succeed.  Others can’t be bothered trying or working for “the man”.

Try offering a homeless person holding a sign work.   Vast majority don’t want work.  Only a handout. It’s become a lifestyle choice for many.

In America.

In the UK we had a Tory politician say a while ago that "homelessness was a lifestyle choice"! Where do these people come from? The planet Zarcon?

There were various replies to her comment, mostly unprintable, but when you have people with that blinkered opinion of how the "lower classes" live, it is probably one of the reasons why they lost the last election. (Mind you, the new lot aren't much better, but as this is a post about American politics I will "zip it"!) replacement

Shortages of what, exactly?  I don’t recall any shortage of anything under Trump.

Trump haters have to come up with something new since they got shellacked at the polls.  Big Time!

We The People have spoken and you can’t stand that.  Boo Fuc—— Hoo.

The only shortage I’ve witnessed is the lack of common sense amongst leftists.

Oh dear, a tantrum, don't you realise, YOUR candidate actually won......?

In Britain we had a lot of EU based  expats that voted for Brexit to stick it to the man and then found when it happened a lot if them had to leave their retirement nests. But it felt good could on vote day. "We didn't vote for that , we didn't vote to include me" . But that's exactly what they did. MAGA expats can probably experience similar blowback in due course. Donald loves the uneducated after all.

Being a Yank and not familiar with Torys I asked the heavily represented on US politics threads UK crowd.

Was quoted differently by each one so excuse my ignorance on UK politics.

In regards to your homelessness issue.

In America some fall upon bad luck or circumstances out of their control but recover.  Various reasons.  They’re not the problem.

Now the majority have chosen this lifestyle due to getting enough from the government just to get by, load the pipe, get their MD 20/20 and live in their tent cities doing whatever they please and not answering to society or worse , “The Man”.  They have no desire to work or improve their lives.  Personal choice.

You could be  correct in that assessment. Unfortunately I can foresee those same youngsters coming to realize their expectations were based on political promise and not reality.

Maybe they just fancy going through life without being told they are white supremacists?

Yes inflation has stabilized but this isn't reflected at the checkout or when filling up your car aka the hip pocket.

Inflation stabilized?

You haven't seen anything yet.  The Fed is now about to cut interest rates again, and with Trump in the White House, we can look forward to more money printing and deficit spending.  That was going to happen, regardless of who won the presidency.  They have no choice.

They say the dollar has another five years or so.
