A 60-year-old woman was severely injured and lost her arm in an explosion on November 6, that destroyed her entire house while she was assembling a homemade firecracker. The device, intended to scare away birds, detonated unexpectedly, causing catastrophic damage to her residence.

The incident occurred at a home in Village 6, Nong Ratchawat Subdistrict, Nong Ya Sai District, Suphan Buri Province. Pol. Col. Chaichanpat Yatirattanakanya, Chief of Nong Ya Sai Police Station, received the emergency call and promptly dispatched Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams and forensic officers to the scene.

The explosion reduced the single-story concrete home to rubble, with windows, doors, and the roof blown away by the blast. Inside the wreckage, investigators found a large pool of blood but little other evidence of intact structures or materials.

The injured homeowner was rushed to Nong Ya Sai Hospital before being transferred to Chao Phraya Yommarat Hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the explosion.

For 5 minutes, then they're back. Same with most airports'

So she planned to build a big bird-scarer firework.

Place it in the field.

BANG!

Right, that worked, what next?  Oh make another big firework for the next couple of birds....

Somewhere, her logic of thinking this through is not very good!

Correct, shoud had bought a shotgun instead.

A bird scarer? Big enough to demolish the house? I have my doubts as there are many of these cottage fireworks factories in Suphanburi.
