Popular Post proton Posted November 10 Popular Post Posted November 10 I can get it on the phone with surfshark, but there is very little worth looking at, it's more like the Black Broadcasting Corporation. 1 3 2 1 3

I see the new Wolf Hall series has been infected. While the first one was great viewing the new one has gone down the rewriting history road and will have black aristocrats at the court of henry 8th. phitsanulokjohn Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Having read up on Vpns,Cyber ghost came out quiet high in reviews. It is also what I consider to be very cheap for 2 years. They all seem to say express VPN is the best, but by comparison is the most expensive.I only want one to watch live sport World cup football etc on iPlayer, but have heard of people having trouble accessing iPlayer. For me can only take the free trial offer and if it doesn't work, cancel it before end of free trial, but cyber ghost currently offering an 83% discount.26 months is currently $56.94.
Eloquent pilgrim Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I am watching it now; accessed using Express VPN set to UK Wembley; also using Google Chrome browser, it often gets blocked using Safari, but rarely on Chrome or Opera.
Popular Post daveAustin Posted November 10 Popular Post Posted November 10 If you care anything about genuine unbiased content, the BBC is no longer the place to go, with its post-2020 agenda writing. Not really worth bothering with nowadays outside of shows on the natural world... though I guess it won't be long before they start dressing up man emperor penguins in tutus and lipstick. Even period drama, of which it was unrivalled, is being trounced. Very difficult watching. 2 2 2
liddelljohn Posted November 10 Author Posted November 10 I want to watch MOTD as i was ill yesterday and could not watch live in the bars ,, I have tried 3 different browsers , FF, Edge,Chrome ,, all i get when looking at BBC on UK servers on both my VPNs is that they can see I am not in UK
liddelljohn Posted November 10 Author Posted November 10 I also tried windscribe and tunnel bear and BBC still not available ...
liddelljohn Posted November 10 Author Posted November 10 Ah its just come on with Windscribe , so I can watch now , but Nord and surfshark is still not connecting at all , maybe something with my laptop ??? Even when working NORD which is my normal VPN I have 2 years subscription is very very slow these days ...not only in Thailand ????
richard_smith237 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Try it on a different device with the same VPN configurations - then you can isolate if its the VPN or your device.

I find sometimes if I try to watch and I've forgotten to connect my VPN it'll obviously block me. Then even when I connect it will continue to block me as it already knows I am not in the UK. Different browsers, disconnecting and reconnecting doesn't work. I'll usually try opening it in an incognito window (Chrome) and that seems to "reset" it.
xylophone Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I mainly watch BBC iPlayer and also the Australian "STAN" for the rugby and although I've tried even supposedly the best VPNs, none has proved infallible with occasional "dropouts" and blocking, so I switched to "Smart DNS proxy" and that has been great for at least a couple of years. Easy to install, not expensive and has been no problem whatsoever.
BenCrew Posted November 10 Posted November 10 There are a few websites that show Match of the Day: https://www.fullreplays.com/shows/match-of-the-day-9-nov-2024/ 1
liddelljohn Posted November 11 Author Posted November 11 I have notified Nord VPN as thats my main VPN of the issue and they are looking into it ,, I have also noticed recently that Nord is Glacially slow most of the time , I was suprised how good Windscribe is working , no connection issues for BBC i player and very fast connections...I will probably drop the Nord subscription when it expires next May and will use Windscribe more My laptop is old and its only Windows 10 , Im going to replace it next year its a Lenovo I7 processor with 12MB of Ram but it is 12 years old now .. cant be updated to Window 11 I tried
LosLobo Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Used to waste money on Express VPN until I discovered my Norton 360 Virus Software with included VPN works fine. Watching it now! 1

I have cyber ghost. I have come to the conclusion that the BBC are good at blocking VPNs. Everything connects no problems. BBC is hit and miss and you have to do the "switch off switch back on" routine or whatever else it takes to get connected. I had Clearvpn before this & had same issues. So in my opinion I would put it down to BBC being clever, not the VPN.
cowellandrew Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Have you got a TV licence? And secondly who wants any propaganda from BBC 1 1 1
