There is undoubtedly plenty of video footage - have you seen it? The camera doesn’t lie. In law the credibility of the witness is taken into account by the courts and law enforcement. It is extremely unlikely that anyone would make something like this up and endure the inevitable fallout. The police can usually tell when someone is lying, that comes with the job. When they find him they will question him and hear his version. Then they will decide whether probable cause exists. 1

riverhigh Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 The condominium management, the security guards and Thai woman have my sympathy. Only a month ago this young gym rat nearly pushed me over from behind inorder to stop the automatic door from closing. Young, impatient, seen him before .... he meant no harm. Daily event people rusing through the automatic door without using their access card to save those precious seconds ... makes life difficult for Condominium security. IMHO lets focus on the sick arrogant pervert stalker. The fact that he did not live there and entered illegally with no valid reason, and then after touching the Thai woman without consent exited the building in secret, is proof enough of his guilt. Hope the information the Thai woman provided the police will be sufficient to apprehend this sick arrogant pervert stalker.

But the description in the report does not say anything that is deemed sexual assault. he touched her face her hands and some other areas on body. Did he grab her pu--y or a-- or boo--? Sexual assault Sexual assault happens when someone either touches another person in a sexual manner without consent or makes another person touch them in a sexual manner without consent. It includes unwanted kissing and the touching of someone's genitals, breasts or bottom. Seems perhaps some exaggeration is being made here to make it seem a lot worse than it was. The man may have been drunk and grabbed her. But was it sexual assault? Perhaps not. You disgust me. This entire comment and the fact that you feel the need to make the distinction is creepy as fokk. While it may not have been outright assault it certainly was sexual harassment -- "a type of sexual violence that involves unwanted sexual attention, behavior, or comments that make someone feel unsafe, scared, or humiliated." then there is the distinction between harassment and assault which puts this back on the assault side of the scales. "Sexual assault refers to any physical sexual act that occurs without someone's consent while sexual harassment refers to non-physical sexual conduct such as gestures or sexual comments." The fact that he, a male, intimidated her and touched her without consent makes it assault, so you may watch yourself in future interactions. 1 2 1

Taking a story with very little details and making it into a heinous crime. Twisting the words for assault and harassment to suit your needs or beliefs when there is a very big difference especially in punishment to the perp. I hope one day you are in an elevator and a woman enters and you happenstance touch her shoulder or even her back to guide her. And she files a sexual assault charge on you. You have no idea what happened in the elevator other than he touched her face and other places and not even sure those other places would constitute an assalt charge. Then you twist it into sexual assault.. You should be ashamed of yourself. 1

Taking a story with very little details and making it into a heinous crime. Twisting the words for assault and harassment to suit your needs or beliefs when there is a very big difference especially in punishment to the perp. The posted video clearly shows unwanted attention and unwanted physical contact. I am not sure how you can possibly defend the male in this interaction. Harassment and assault are clearly defined terms and this behavior falls firmly within those bounds. This is based on legal context not your 'assumption or interpretation'. The video shoes there was unwanted physical contact - this is both Harassment and an Assault - IF you had watched the video you will see there is no deviation from that behavior. 26 minutes ago, thesetat2013 said: I hope one day you are in an elevator and a woman enters and you happenstance touch her shoulder or even her back to guide her. The guy followed the woman into the elevator, followed her out of the elevator, followed her back into the elevator, cornered her in the elevator, touched her in the elevator, she tried to squirm out of the way, the guy cornered her in another corner of the elevator, he toucher her again, she exited the elevator and went to security, the guy fled. .... Is this something you think you could accidentally do ???? The guy didn't live there, he didn't accidentally find himself in a lift with a female, he targeted her. 26 minutes ago, thesetat2013 said: You have no idea what happened in the elevator other than he touched her face and other places and not even sure those other places would constitute an assalt charge. The assault was of a sexual nature, its Sexual Assault - you may have been of the assumption that a 'specific area' of the body need to be 'groped' for an assault to be deemed sexual, but this is not the case. Sexual Assault is quite a broad term and can include: - Unwanted physical contact - Inappropriate proximity - Coercion or Threats - Indecent Exposure - Non-Consensual Sharing of Sexual Content - Voyeurism - Sexual Coercion 1 2

Lets nip this in the bud right away, my solution is a effective deterrent, and there will be no recidivism. I see your point but in law there is usually a necessary sense of proportion. Would you suggest the same punishment for speeding, driving under the influence of drink or drugs ect. What about the Thai government for allowing people to drive without proper testing or policing. Then there's the police themselves for allowing the obvious danger. You could also target a large part of the Thai population for their lack of responsibility on the issue. And that's just driving, never mind all the other dangers that are deliberately allowed to continue. I wouldn't want to understate this woman's experience but I think you need to be sensible.
kimamey Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 I don't see any mention of the police, but maybe I've missed it. Just had another look and I can see a mention of the police now. The story seems to focus on TikTok and TV interviews.
