Anything to help reduce the amount of gofundme's the Brits raise I support 100%.

If you don't contribute then it doesn't concern you.

Saw a 'farang' in soi Bhoakhoa yesterday happily riding along on his rally cross bike with no helmet, and only a pair of shorts and trainers. People come here and just think the idiocy of looking cool trumps life risk

I see this weird behaviour from foreigners daily.

What's weird these are not young people, the guys are middle aged and elderly, doing childish things.

They do think they look cool but actually an obese, grey haired or bald guy with missing teeth can not look cool.

A day does not go by when the British Embassy in Thailand is not responding to one of its nationals in crisis.

But not for motorbike accidents without the required helmet, licence or insurance, or drunk.

How about getting the police to do their jobs instead of sitting around on their phones but they can't do that they are too busy trying to earn extra cash

Please read where I said 'or anyone for that matter'. Why would a boy from Manchester (City) have a 'racist stance on Brits'

well, you specifically mentioned "Brits," as if signaling them out for special attention.

Which part of  'Any Brit, or anyone for that matter,' do you not understand. The OP mentioned the British Embassy, so my reply was to NOT signal them out for special attention.

7-Eleven stores will serve as key information centres, providing useful advice on safe driving practices.

Also sells alcoholic beverages. Very helpful.

Different age group, the guys I see acting foolish are born in the 50's, 60's and 70's

Melissa Viviane Jefferson ( born April 27, 1988), [ 2 ] better known by the stage name Lizzo , is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, and actress. Born in Detroit

Here in Muang Thong Thani they don't care about yellow lines, red and white curbs or No-Parking signs, and they totally refuse to stop for any STOP signs, forget about crossing in a Zebra crossing, they'll kill you if you dare. It's a free for all here, no police presence, and nobody follows any laws or road rules, they actually deliberately flaunt the laws here.

That's the real information that tourists need to know and that may save some lives.

My wife keeps telling me ,This is Thailand!

Where I am I've seen police cars weaving around people using the zebra crossing 200 meters from the police station

All the Gofundmes I have been aware of recently are to repatriate American pensioners who can't get health insurance in Thailand because they are too old.

Some years ago it was stated that more Australians die per annum in Thailand than in any other foreign country.

That was also true for Brits, Swedes, and a number of other nationalities.

At one point, Thailand was well known as the most dangerous tourism destination for Brits. Late 90's, early 00's.

If I remember the numbers right, 35% drive without a license, so if they did stop those drivers, the roads would become less congested overnight.

Booze, drugs and tarts is a dangerous combination!😁

...just add motorbikes and 'watersports' to the mix too.

What a laugh -

Unfamiliar with the traffic laws, what laws, what does no helmet mean, no licence mean.

I see people pulling up at seven 11 drunk and buying more alcohol and driving away, no questions asked. Another idiot idea

I saw a grey haired old man (foreigner) once at a national park in Chon Buri, driving a GSXR 1000 with the biggest beer gut I have ever seen with no T-Shirt, and what appeared to be a 19 yr old Thai bar girl attached to his back. To say it looked pathetic was an understatement, but seeing that beer gut hang over both sides of the tank was pure vomit material.

All these initiatives espouse lofty aspirations. By the time it gets down to the enforcement level, and here I would assume that would fall to the police, it will have morphed into a money-making scheme. Guaranteed.

You could stand by the side of any busy road in Thailand and witness multiple serious traffic infractions every single minute. If anything, it has got worse in the last ten years.

I've read through many Thai Traffic laws/rules, they are not much different from the West, almost identical actually. The only difference appears to be enforcement, of which there is none. It seems like the only time they enforce the written laws is after somebody has an accident, then they place blame using them, but seem to be abhorrent to proactive policing. Joys of living in a 3rd World country.

Another helmet campaign!

Safety First !

How about a  effective  police presence!

How about providing helmets, that doesn't smell like old ass, together with the rental bikes. The rental helmets are never being cleaned properly and are full of bacterias.
