Yes, I’ve noticed that people who needs to compensate for, shall we say, “issues” tend to “laugh it off” when confronted by things they know little about. Not dissimilar to inserting lots of childish emojis in posts, if you know what I mean.
Thank you, again @xllxix for another very helpful post.
I appreciate posts like that: positive attitude, helpful information, worth reading.
Very encouraging to see new poster, @xllxix on this forum.

Looks like I'm out of luck on this quest to convert my new phone to be Google-free.
Based on years of experience in these matters, I'm not going to spend a lot of time hunting for a Thai technician in a retail shop who can handle this.
Might be one somewhere, but chances of finding him are so slim. not worth the effort.
Instead I'll go with my "Plan B": buy a phone that is already loaded with GrapheneOS.
So my question changes to:
Is there any place in Chiang Mai to buy a Pixel/Graphene phone?
Or even any place anywhere Thailand?
(If not, ordering from overseas is the final option.)
Come on Thais!…This is only for Falangos.
This is a bell like in every bars in Thailand. Don’t touch this thing in a traffic light. Ringing the bell means you are going to buy everyone in the road, drivers of cars and bikes, buses and passengers, pedestrians at the zebra crossing,, a drink. Some places take this very seriously, DON’T TOUCH THIS BELLS or will be a very expensive situation.
🙄
I went to buy a case of twelve UHT milk advertised at $25 per case but I noticed the price per item on the shelf was $1.76 so I asked the cashier to ring them through one at a time. She baulked saying the price per case was always cheaper so we were at a standoff till the manager showed up .After much head scratching and calculating he finally agreed and rang them through one at a time. Another one you have to look at is sugar sometimes two 500g bags are cheaper than 1 kilo. Justa couple of weeks ago I bought two 500ml whipping cream cheaper than a1 liter box.
Suggest you consider obtaining a non O retirement eVisa in UK after current extension expires.
To apply for non O retirement in Thailand from a visa exempt entry you need to show the 800k came from abroad.
In your case the funds would have been in Thailand for quite some time so immigration will waive that requirement.
However you have ample time in UK to obtain the eVisa
