Donald Trump Set to Make History with Second Royal State Visit to the UK

Donald Trump is poised to become the first elected politician in modern history to be hosted twice for state visits by the British Royal Family. Reports indicate that plans are already in motion for the former president to return to the UK for a second state visit following his anticipated inauguration in January.  

 

 

A senior Whitehall source confirmed the enthusiasm for the upcoming event, telling *The Daily Telegraph*: "[Mr Trump] loves the Royal Family. Look at the fact he’s had his own photo album made of the last visit. Why wouldn’t we want a repeat?"  

 

While preliminary arrangements are underway, the visit itself may not occur until 2026, aligning with diplomatic schedules and other priorities. The British government sees the high regard in which Trump holds the Royal Family as a valuable diplomatic asset, particularly in fostering stronger ties between the UK and the United States.  

 

Trump's connection with the Royal Family was evident during his presidency, highlighted by a grand three-day state visit in 2019. The visit included a formal dinner with the late Queen and a commemoration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day in Portsmouth. At the end of that visit, the Queen expressed her hope for his return, telling Trump, "I hope you come to this country again soon." In response, Trump praised her, calling her a "great woman" as he departed the UK.  

 

More recently, Trump and Prince William shared a warm interaction at the historic re-opening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris earlier this month.

 

The event marked Trump’s first meeting with a Royal Family member since his landslide election victory. Their 40-minute discussion reportedly covered global issues and emphasized the enduring importance of the US-UK relationship. Trump reflected on his admiration for the late Queen, while also lauding Prince William with the words, "Good man, this one." He added that William was "doing a fantastic job" and expressed his appreciation for the event, calling it "a beautiful ceremony."  

 

The bond between Trump and the Royal Family continues to be a focal point of diplomatic engagement. As the possibility of another state visit draws closer, it is clear that this unique relationship remains a cornerstone of fostering goodwill between the two nations.

Time  for Trump to kindly repay the favour and give Farage and the Reform party a boost by revisiting the UK. 

Don't forget labour sent a hundred people to  the US to campaign for Harris. 

Starmer appointing Peter Mandelson Britan's 'prince of darkness' a Trump detractor as US  ambassador was a blow to US UK accord. 

I hope Trump, Musk and Farage help the Reform party  gain  more  support as Starmer's woeful performance is also helping them gain new members.

Feels very different this time so I doubt we'll see the same again.   The leftists have got their wish of a socialist, vindictive, meddling, authoritarian government and are learning the lesson that no matter how bad the Tories are (and they were truly awful), Labour are an order of magnitude  worse on every single metric. 

 

By the time he visits the UK will be in recession (thanks to Rachel from customer services), the USA will be booming and the only protests I can envisage would be against the clowns in government.

This is the sort of thing that made Trump so eager for the presidency. He doesn't really care about doing the work of being president. He just wants the decoration, praise, and costume balls. I suspect Modi also has something in the works to invite him back to India as well. I remember when Trump turned around on his H1B opposition the first time came after Modi gave him that mass reception is some Indian sports stadium. Trump craves adulation from the Saudis as well. Any country wanting to avoid his tariffs should she give him a state visit with cheering crowds on the street.

I am and have been critical of Trump because his mind is easily changed. Don't forget the frist term, when he campaigned on cancelling the Dream Act on his first day. Instead, on his first day, I remember him going to a camera and saying no he wasn't. He lectured the press and said, "It's called DACA." And he actually proposed increasing it. Why? His daughter told him to. He holds no sincere beliefs or positions. Everything is "negotiable." And it's widely known that when a divisive issue comes under discussion that Trump usually ends up agreeing with the last person in the room. Guess who the last person in the room on the H1B debate was? Musk. Let's see what happens with GB's Lammy and the newly appointed British ambassador to Washington, both of whom insulted Trump repeatedly. I'll bet it's completely forgotten now that he's pursuing another royal state visit. There are many of Trump's positions I support. I just don't trust Trump to deliver on them.

Whatever the failings of Trump are, he is a loving, caring father. On that basis, I think he will be sensitive to to the Windsors. The US public has some empathy for Kate and her cancer, and even for Charles. Kate  represents everyone's mum, sister, daughter  who has cancer. She is a genuinely low key person as is Prince William.

 

Starmer and his minions will try and play up their  defence relationship, and longstanding ties, but that will all fall apart because of the insincerity of the UK government. The more  I see and hear of Lammy, the more I realize that the man is an absolute knob, driven by his own  bias and political opinions.The UK government is going to walk away with little from this except public humiliation.

Trump knows that he is unwelcome in many nations. I believe that he thrives on the. disruption. It will be interesting to watch the hundreds of thousands of Bengalis, Arabs and  leftists come out to shout their hate at him when he visits the UK.  I wonder how the UK will handle  he protests. The police and government didn't care much when this group was rampaging in support of Hamas.

It is called advisors, and every president has them, or do you think that presidents make all decisions just by themselves.

He campaigned on DACA repeatedly right until the day he reversed under the political genius and enlightened wisdom of Ivanka Trump. He did the same on opposing QE, until he got in office and started demanding the Fed goose the economy with more funny money. Then there was the "Wall," which went nowhere for more than three years until it was time to run for re-election. There was the tariff deal with China, where all Trump got was a promise form the Chinese to buy more soybeans (which they didn't do). And just recently we had Trump petitioning the Supreme Court to delay implementation of the Tik Tok ban. The ban was Trump's own idea in his first term. And now he wants to reverse it. He campaigned against H1Bs and then yesterday a report revealed he had fipflopped on it. Why does anybody trust this man?
