Really? He was accusing temporary agricultural laborers of stealing jobs from Americans? That was his focus? Ridiculous. If you look at that quote from Trump, it's clear it was vetted and worked over. Not an off-the-cuff remark. And with your kind of reasoning, it's pretty much possible to explain away any statements anyone makes on any issue. "He didn't mean that" really doesn't cut it.

Yes, he made a misteak.  You pulled a quote from 2016, before the Republican primaries, and long before he defeated the lady he promised to lock up, but who turned out later to be "good people."

 

Just a little slip, can't expect him to remember all the trivial details.  He had a lot on his mind.  It's not easy being a very stable genius.

When I was a kid, I had a friend who claimed he had the rule book and when a sports dispute arose he would cite one of those alleged rules, which, oddly enough, were always in his favor.
