Wake Up Dead Man, a Knives Out Mystery. 7.6 IMDB score. Really enjoyed this with all star cast.

Is it better than the last one? It was quite a snoozefest.

  • When you get very old you can re-watch stuff from a month ago and have no idea that you have seen it before.

Just watched Sicario, with Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro....and what a movie that is; loved it.

Sicario:Day of the Soldado is equally excellent. Mainly focused around Del Toro's character.

I agree. I enjoyed watching both of them.

After seeing quite a few mentions of "Nuremberg" I decided to watch one of the versions available (on 1337x.to) although I wasn't keen on the latest Russell Crowe version (as I mentioned previously) so I downloaded the 3.5 hour Amazon version starring Alec Baldwin and Brian Cox and although I wasn't disappointed, it didn't seem to have the courtroom drama and "spark" that other folks had written about the original 1961 movie.

It did contain the absolutely horrific footage of what the allies found when they liberated the concentration/death camps, and I've seen that previously and have never forgotten it.

Interestingly enough in this version there was a psychiatrist involved in the trial and he tried to get to the bottom of what made human beings do the sort of things which the Nazis did to the Jewish folk, and two things came out of this: – namely that they didn't see the Jewish people as human, just as vermin, much the same as rats, and also he concluded that German society had been a strict one and one that didn't encourage "empathy" in people – – make of it what you will.

Down Cemetery Road

Apple TV

adapted from Mick Herron's (Slow Horses) book.

watched the first ep, looks good. Seven eps, six released to date.

Watched both of these and found them to be agonisingly bad. Horses for courses.

I've just finished season 1 of The Lowdown and enjoyed it. It was first mentioned by @Will27 and later by a couple of other posters in this topic.

Ethan Hawke plays the lead character.

I've been waiting for this one.
Has excellent reviews.

An unassuming mechanic is reminded of his time in an Iranian prison when he encounters a man he suspects to be his sadistic jailhouse captor.

Panicked, he rounds up a few of his fellow ex-prisoners to confirm the man's identity.

For obvious current events reasons, I've been reading lists about the best Rob Reiner movies. Misery was mentioned and I hadn't seen it before. Now I have. Excellent as expected.

Just look at  the Covid period to understand how it happened.

Along the same lines I downloaded "The Princess Bride" which I vaguely remembered as an enjoyable light hearted movie, and it was. I also vaguely remember "Misery" so might get onto that later.

Just released: S02E01 of "Fallout", with Walton Goggins.

Just saw another post on this 1 hour ago! Glad to see some other fans out there. If you've ever played the game, the series is even better.

1337x

Thanks @Will27. I hadn't looked for it when I posted. Just had a look and I can find it on LimeTorrents, TheRARBG, TorrentGalaxyClone, TPB. YTS etc.

I am having an issue accessing 1337x from qBittorrent using the Jackett search plugin. Need to set aside some time to resolve the issue.

Thank you.  I've been going mad for S3 E1 - now I can begin.

Spoiler Alert.  We are told he killed over 300 Russians in the 1st movie.  Just FINISHed (pun alert) - he doesn't kill anywhere near that many this time around.

I downloaded it ( Sisu: Road to Revenge ) a couple of days ago. I will be watching it after I finish Hidden Assets S03.

The Rehearsal Season 2.

I suggested Season 1 here before.

So I watched episode 1 of Season 2 and I felt rather bored so decided not to continue with it.

Then I read a review of it on a best tv of the year list that said that the way it develops will totally blow your mind.

So I guess I won't be able to resist that.

It is a show by Nathan Fielder.

If you don't know him and you want a more straightforward reality parody show type experience, I higher suggest his older series Nathan for You. I will also fulfill your Canadian content quota.

On paper this isn't a show that I would have predicted as working for me, but it goes to show, you never know.

Just started S01, 2 eps to go.   Little slow but better now.  Got S02 Q'd up.  With that ... 📺🍿

I usually check ratings on IMDb, if only there was a way to exclude kids and Americans as they distort the figures.

I just tried to watch Sinners, rated 7.6, only managed 10 minutes, strong accents and woke

I watched it last night and it was all action from "go to whoa" so for the folks who like action movies, this is a must!
