Does Trump completely lack decency and compassion?
Remember how the left moaned when Trump said he was going to pardon the insurrectionists. Now the same left is moaning about how he's only pardoning the non-violent insurrectionists. -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
Slice it or dice it - whichever you prefer - the fact remains that as a tax resident of Thailand, you are obligated to pay your dues. Tax-Free Status in Australia: The fact that the pension payments are tax-free in Australia due to their nature (private pension earnings approved by the government as tax-free) does not change their treatment under the DTAA. The DTAA determines which country has taxing rights, not the domestic tax status. Taxation in Thailand: Article 18 states that pensions (not related to government service) paid to a resident of Thailand are taxable only in Thailand. This means that once the funds are remitted to Thailand, Thai tax laws will govern their taxation. Private Pension Clarification: While Article 18 does not explicitly differentiate between public and private pensions, it broadly covers pensions. Private pension payments are likely considered taxable in Thailand under Thai law, even if not taxed in Australia. -

Thai Relationships: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
The future for many Thai women is quite bleak. When they turn 30, many Thai men consider they are too old. In their 40's and 50's, all they can look forward to is the munificent age pension of 600 baht/month when they turn 60. So when a foreigner comes along either making a lot more than they do, or getting a pension which is 4-5 times what they can earn, it must look like manna from heaven. Of course, there are the predators, those who use their beauty to suck money until their quarry is dry. OTOH, there are plenty of women who just want support, and they don't care if the potential partner looks as ugly as a hatful of camel bums. IMO the good relationships happen when Thai women are willing to work hard to maintain them. Not so with Western women, who are buttressed by entitlement, and family law.
