I don't recall trump putting a time limit on lowering living costs, isnt the first 100 days normally a marker? I don't think any one with a half rational thinking brain would expect everything  to  be done in 8 days, but i guess it gives the weak half men that take every single word Trump says literally something to bitch about, even though theyve never held any other politician to the same standard.

Try flaming someone else.

Not intended to be a flame. So we shouldn't deport these fruit pickers because the fruit will rot then the end result will be higher prices because there will be shortages as the law of supply and demand kicks in.  Therefore immigration laws should not be enforced since it will result in higher fruit prices.

Is that what your post is all about?

LOL....if you voted for Biden then look at the economic mess he gave you and America...The best way to look at domestic economics is the one delivered by biden/harris, worst economy in decades. Thats bidenomics, a total failure except brainwashed bidenites who think illegal aliens picking cabbage will save Americas economy. LOL.

But, you know, Trump won the election based on the top two issues plaguing America, immigration/border security and the economy and Biden FAILED ON BOTH and Trump delivered and hence the MAGA LANDSLIDE election victory Non 5 2024.

How's that for "basic economics"...where Americans choose Trump's economy and border policies over the hitler, nazi obsessed baby killing liberal losers.

Be sure and check out Milton Friedman and try to learn something, maybe in conjunction with counseling you can get a clue perhaps.

Complete B.S., as usual. 😆

Biden re received an economy in crisis from Trump (I'm not claiming it was all Trump's fault), while Trump starts with an economy in good shape:

- best post-Covid recovery among comparable countries (ex. G7) with growth rates x2 or x3 compared to these countries,

- best recovery in terms of reducing unemployment,

- now low inflation, close to pre-pandemic level,

- stellar growth of stock market value,

- all time record for energy production and exports

- high level of innovation, in particular in the digital economy, AI, etc...

There is still the debt problem, but I guess Trump doesn't want to cancel the debt ceiling for no reason, does he! 😆

I would suggest applying the immigration laws with some judgment of individual circumstances. By all means deport criminals, and those bludging off the system.

However, people who are prepared to work for less than minimum wage, sending money to their families, are an asset to America.

The stable genius who decided to deport every illegal, without regard for consequences, is not doing any favors to Americans already hurting from high living costs.

What's the bet Trump could not tell you the cost of a dozen eggs, although it is odds on he could tell you the stock price of DJT to the last cent.

Are you claiming the figures are wrong? Or is it offensive calculating the cash drain of illegal migration?

Some people on this thread have economic and political literacy at the playground level, driven by ignorance and blind ideology rather than any sense of pragmatism.

Of course, there is a cost. I doubt a SM meme but an unknown MAGA fan may show reliable amounts.

I see you once again conflating LEGAL immigration of qualified people that benefit the country, with ILLEGAL gangbangers that cause mayhem and only benefit they bring is voting for free stuff and legalized crime aka democrats.

Please stop doing that, it is silly.

Why, when any mention is made of illegals contributing to the US economy, do the right wing snowflakes start stressing about illegals  in jail........it's not that hard to distinguish between two groups of illegals, those contributing and those in jail.......for a start, one group is in jail.....

That sentiment goes both ways yes ? Like when any mention is made of illegals why do left wing extremists always stress about farm workers.

Because, as they represent around 40% of agricultural workers, and employers may find it difficult to replace them if they are expelled?

Economic impact: Removing undocumented workers could reduce the U.S. GDP by 5.7% (or $1.6 trillion) annually, according to the AAF.

Estimated cost to remove all undocumented immigrants (approximately 11-12 million people): $400 billion to $600 billion.

Pure genius.

That will never happen.  A few planeloads at a time?  Imagine how long that will take.

The bad guys will be gone. The rest will eventually get sone sort of amnesty.

Trump is doing fascism theater.

There was zero need to declare a border emergency and involve the military because the border has recently been quite quiet.

But declaring such an emergency needed or not (not) gives him many more dictator type powers than otherwise. There was also no need to use military planes to fly people out.

The normal transport methods work quite well.

Trump like dictators in general loves to create artificial crises and then "fix" them and we'll be seeing plenty of that classic trick from him in the coming ever accelerating  dystopian years.

It is true for now that ICE is targeting super baddy types but if they happen to find 100 law abiding tax paying beloved community members in such a raid, they're busted too.

Of course any president has deportation powers. But Trump isn't any president. He's milking this for all its worth and bringing "Dr. Phil" along for the ride.

He will probably be building "detention camps" as the numbers add up and very recently he has announced an intention to deport CITIZEN criminals to be sent to prisons in El Salvador in order to save money on keeping them locked up.

Saving money is great but sorry intentionally deporting citizens, even the worst of them, is outrageous. Clearly he is trying to desensitize the population to more and more fascist tactics, and there is little doubt he will be using the military INTERNALLY to deal with immigration matters, particularly in what he considers "internal enemy" cities and U.S. states. He will break every rule, norm, and law that he can possibly get away with, and he will be getting away with alot.

Dont ya love to see the left trying feverishly  to make sense of

450k to 600k violent criminal illegals being escorted  out.

Many of these criminal illegals are in jails! Sanctuary cities & states must have a huge number ! I betcha the cost of incarceration isnt figured in the $150 billion.

“1 in 10 inmates in Texas jail are migrants wanted by ICE: report”.

https://nypost.com/2024/10/28/us-news/1-in-10-inmates-in-texas-jail-are-migrants-wanted-by-ice-report/

It has got to be cheaper than the cost it will be to take care of them financially with food and housing and all the other stuff the gove would have to pay for them especially if they ended up in prison. Not to mention the price for the loss the Americans would suffer at those criminals hands being able to freely walk around doing what they want because they are illegal and Bidens rule of catch and release.

Don't you think it is cheaper for the Government to use military transport.. We are talking about getting millions of illegals sent home. That is a lot of private jets to carry them all home. I think he was brilliant to do it this way. No need to negotiate with the airline companies or anyone else. No waiting either.

My information says more expensive but much more fascism theater to bring in the military,
