I agree, but it's all designed to enrich certain people at the expense of everyone else. It's so much easier to steal money when it's called "aid". Once it's out of the country it's easy to confuse the money trail, especially when it's sent to notoriously corrupt countries. Does Ukraine ring any bells?

So a millionaire is in the 1%?  Most professional athletes are millionaires.  Then Ohtani of the Dodgers has to be in the .1 of the 1%??? He is due 700 million for playing baseball.  The CEO of the DWP in Los Angeles where there was a lack of water during the recent wildfires makes $750,000 per year.  So she is very close to making the 1% club. New LAPD Chief Jim McDonnel makes $450,000 per + $235,000 in retirement from  pay so he is also very close to the 1% as well.

Coming from one of the very top 5 countries in the world to live, simular to NZ, and even I know 10- 12% in our country is very unhappy with our government, most people do have a good life here. 

 

Most people who are unhappy, had a rough childhood because parents did not have the abilities to take good care, or mental challenged, started a rough criminal path and was caught, addicts, or got to wealthy to fast and think they deserves the world and not own anything in return. Even they had free Healthcare and social security as well education paid by the tax payers. 

 

There will always be some who get spoilt, and can not connect to what possibilities they have or their responsibilities

I forgot,.many of the billionaires make infrastructure and work for the masses, and where I come from, they also have responsibilities to treat their employees well with respect and dignity. 

 

In Usa it is a different world, when it comes to abusive employers who take advantage for low pay, long hours and very little holidays

FYI about VA - speaking as a US veteran.  The VA doesn't do f***-all for me.  I'm a cold war vet and not a "Veteran Of Foreign Wars," which btw, nobody is as Congress hasn't declared "war" since WWII. When I show up they whip out their "Johnson" and spray me down with the yellow fluid.  Cold War veterans as far as the US government is concerned aren't "real veterans."  But with that said - the programs even for vets f'ed up in combat sucks.  But nothing I've read indicates that they'll be deprived of needed services, and those men and women who were injured deserve everything the US can give them and more.  Other than that, the VA is an abomination - it doesn't nothing for me at all. Never has, never will. So?  I don't really care.

The funding has not been cut, that is a function of congress. The order cut off disbursement of money. They also shut down the billing portals so payees cannot submit invoices. A judge has ruled against it and a hearing has been scheduled for next week.

Seems to me the only long term solution to this never ending problem is to
bring in that world renown Russian birth control specialist.

Such a surprise for me. Quite stunned actually.

Trump is claiming that he wants to make America first.

Just like, at a lower scale, most everybody wants to make his or her family first.

To a point of not knowing anybody capable of empathy, as some members are claiming that Trump has none of that.

All the world is comprised of small entities, called families.

And all aid is within the confines of the family.

I know one person who with me, provides help to less fortunate people.

As all I see around me, including all of my family and friends, are cheap charlies, who would not give a dollar to charity.

And in this forum, all these members who want to help, give out money, to people that they do not know.

Well,of course, as long as it is not their own money of course.

 

Our leaders steal money to give away to people who would not receive anything individually.

Strange... But as long as it does not come out of their own bank account, then empathy...., or is it?
