Rising Anti-Israel Sentiments in Pai Following Tourists Misconduct

Any person, Jewish, Israeli, or anything else that supports the right of Israel to exist is pro Zionist.

You have no understanding of what Zionism means.

Zionism does not conflate with current Israeli government policies.

Most current Israelis are NOT of European descent.

You're thinking of American Jews.

The Jewish people in general most definitely do have a historical connection to Israel.

Older than Arabs for sure.

Israeli is a Jewish majority middle eastern country.

You're spouting ignorant propaganda.

It is one thing to be willing to accept Israel within the 1967 borders, which many people agree to, and is not an approval of Zionism. On the other hand, the "right to exist" formulation is an opening to an expansionist narrative, where a two-state solution is an anathema. In the US and UK, we have Christian Zionists who are more ardent for Zionist expansionism than moderate Jewish people.

People like the Evangelical Mike Huckabee (US Ambassador designate) even deny the existence of Palestinians. It's a continuation of the line first promoted in the late 19th Century: A land without people for a people without land.

There are figures around for immigration into Israel. I would be surprised if Safarti Jewish arrivals outnumber those from Europe including Russia and the US.

Another thing to consider is how many Jews were present in Palestine when Muslim armies arrived in the 7th Century and how many converted to Islam.

A few Israelis cause a disturbance and we see this article, signs banning Israelis, Israelis deported, but not the same action against Russians, Indians, Poms, Aussies and many other nationalities... I guess too many, and too much money lost, and maybe Israelis refuse to pay the corruption payments.

They didn't refuse to pay.....Moshe just took a long time "haggling " over the bribe they wanted.

Oh don't be racist please

Have you recently been in Pai?

Have you seen what's going on there?

They lost control of the village.

A huge number of tourists are lining the pockets of hotel and restaurant owners, who are mostly Thais originally from the south, Bangkok or Chiang Mai, who have very little interest in things going back to normal.

They just can't behave, in Bkk Taco Bell just walking in the kitchen area because he want wash hand, poor Thai staff try to stop him but he just push her away. In Europe they act same not respect other people at all. The worst type of tourists.

They must be the uneducated type low class Israeli ,I'm sure all Israeli doesn't act like that

I think time for a bit of balance with a more positive look at Israelis. Perhaps Israelis are a dish best enjoyed on their home turf?

Israel should hire you man and pay you big bucks.

Maybe as "Minister of Public Image of Isrealis Abroad".

We got ourselves an oxymoron

Was that the poster who stated that he was in the sea Cadets in Australia when he was a kid and that proves that Hamas aren't a terrorist group, because his sea cadets never attacked anyone ?

I know what you're saying, but if you don't mind me correcting you, as you said, Thai people use any graphic they happen to like regardless of its actual meaning to anyone else.

I've been listing to death metal for years and I see Thai teenagers with band shirts on and see them for sale even from time to time. I'm certain they don't know the music which is already obscure but they just like the graphic depictions and logo art.

Maybe this is old news or I forgot but those 4 Israelis that broke into the emergency room in Pai are being deported now.  The comments on this video confirm other people seeing the same signs in other countries over decades. It's a pattern of behavior which led to this, Thai's just  become "anti-semantic" overnight and target them over some prejudice based on a conflict happening overseas.

It's young men fresh out military service I think. They may have been at war in Gaza last month and then when they do their time they come to Thailand to relax and have fun and that's when the problems start. If these were middle class or even older Israeli people this wouldn't be happening I'm pretty sure.

Pai is a tourist cesspit. The local people and culture has been ghettoized into the far corners of the valley. Between the hordes of tourists, rasta Thais from the south and pretentious Bangkok (and urban center)  douches with fancy hotels there's nothing left.

It will always be a lovely valley but it's totally spoiled I would say. Anyone who enjoys northern Thai culture should literally go anywhere else.

I don't care to much for either side but as an independent observer there is no doubt who the biggest murderers are.

And it's NOT the Israelis.   They have been killing terrorists, whereas Hamas were delighted to kill civilians in most barbarous ways.    It's obvious in ANY war that civilians get killed.    How many civilians were killed in Dresden under Allied bombing?   How many civilians were killed when H-bombs were dropped on Japan?     Oh, you don't care to mention those because it wasn't Israelis doing the killing.

And how do you know 'he' was Israeli?   Did he speak Hebrew to you & you understood immediately that it was Hebrew????    Your example & generalities are farcical!!!

No wonder they started to colonize phangan first and pai is like the second home for that. So likely they now do the same there.

When I moved here like 12-14 years ago, they had Mein Kampf as best seller in the book store in Siam paragon mall, like an entire wall dedicated to it.

So there are not members of the IDF?!........:coffee1:

You may benefit from reading my comment again and taking note of the word "most". Not to mention that there is no genocide happening anywhere that has anything to do with Israel. That is, unless you redefine what "genocide" means as well as redefine the goals of what Israel is doing. But then we might get into intellectual challenges that may be difficult to overcome with honesty to factual information. But the meme of the masses is easier to follow than it is to evaluate on its merits.
