Tourist’s Hands Bitten Off by Shark in Photo Stunt Gone Wrong!

Tigers can climb high if chasing prey. Lions are too fat.

Lions can climb but aren't known as climbers like other cats are. Females do most of the killing, although the male eats first. Where lions exist there are much less trees and their prey doesn't use them besides monkeys. Tigers are forest cats and will climb more but most of their prey is also ground dwelling. Lions will climb to escape danger.

  • The mindless actions of some for the sake of a damn "selfie" or for Tiktok, youtube audiences is getting ridiculous.

  • No one deserves it, but one can easily avoid the tragedy. It takes a special kind of stupid to approach an apex predator  and offer oneself up as prey.

I've encountered sharks that size while skin-diving in those waters.  Rather than approaching the shark I would always swim quietly away from them!

I would piss my pants....and hope the shark take mercy on me.

A person being amputated of both their hands is anything but funny.

And?  Is it our fault for her stupidity?

This lady is 55 years old.

Not some stupid spotty kid,  just out of Uni, who thinks they know it all.

No real sympathy from me.

But she sure has a learning curve in front of her now.

But, she was "entitled" to her selfie.  The Dopamine rush to get that photo was more than anything on the planet.  Common sense does not apply.

Everytime she goes to the  bathroom, she will ask this question, "Was that selfie worth it?".

The Hippo Union expressed disappointment that Africa was skipped over this year. They want to be Youtube stars.

They do well because they have paws, which they use as we do hands in many ways. I'm sure you knew this.

I am not aware of this.

Paws are very ineffective for manipulation of important objects in a dog's life.

Instead, dogs rely mostly on their snout and teeth, just from my observations.

This the way they manipulate almost everything in their lives.

You have to be a dog or cat owner to see more of how they use their paws.

Or she will figure out a way to see herself as a victim. She didn't do anything stupid, it was somehow somebody else's fault.

Shocking pictures show people who appear to be the woman's family helping to stem the blood flow as she lies injured on the beach

A Canadian tourist’s Caribbean holiday turned into a nightmare when a shark attacked her and bit off both of her hands just yards from the beach.

Reports say she approached the shark in an attempt to engage with it for a photo. But things took a shocking turn when the shark lunged at her, biting off her hands in a brutal attack.

rarily closed following the attack, and tourists were advised to stay cautious.

I can imagine that the phone and her hands holding it are now property of the shark.

What a picture that would be, a close up of a sharks throat, slightly blurry.

A very sad, devastating and life changing incident. Yes, it was a crazy and stupid decision to approach a shark, and unfortunately she will have to live with the consequences of that for the rest of her life. An horrific, yet completely avoidable incident. 🙁

No, wrong.

I no longer have empathy or sympathy for complete fxxxing retards.

Well, she is Canadian right?  😂

Terrible. Truly life changing injuries.

Social media really does encourage people to take enormous risks for a photo for FaceBook/Instagram or whatever.

I remember seeing a white tip reef shark while snorkelling on Fraser island. Never swam to shore so fast in my life.

Nothing about the poorly ill-advised woman who lost her hands/forearms.

Just as long as you use the correct terminology, eh?

A new sheriff in Arkansas, not too bright they say, was trying to crack a murder case.  He heard somewhere that the last thing a person saw before death was etched onto their retinas.

He ordered the morgue to dissect the victim's eyeballs, and find out what was etch-a-sketched onto the insides of his eyes.

The coroner took a close-up photo of a bullet and sent that to the sheriff.  Case closed!

True story.

I read it on the innertubes.

Not just an attempt, she DID engage with it, on a very personal level. Hopefully it was worth it, but somehow I think not! You'd think at 55 years old she would have a little more experience and common sense about this type of thing......guess not.

This kind of thing is proof that civilization is not moving forward any longer, but rather we are devolving as a society.

Exactly, the movie Idiocracy explains this phenomenon, the human race dumbing down because instead of the smartest reproducing the most, the dumbest are reproducing at an exponential rate. It was a grade B comedy but has turned into a documentary.
