A curiously anonymous report with no details of the location or people involved.

You saying it doesn’t happen?

More a limitation of writing news using AI bots scanning Facebook pages I would say.

So who is renting out the condos, the room owner or the condo owner?

The condo owner obviously rents his place out,  not the building owner.

I don't know how the numbers shake out in Thailand, but back home, the developers often rent out unsold units to generate a little revenue.  Which makes it tough to complain and get any resolution when it's the developer and not a single unit owner.

Arrest them, lock them up, and then deport them.

So its only Foreigners?
How do they deport all the Thais  breaking the law.

They don't. If they are Thais, just arrest them and lock them up.

My heart goes out to anyone who is subjected to living anywhere near an AirBnB. Must be horrible. The laws of probability ensure that you will get the odd a$$hole and then multiply that by the number of short rentals in a condo complex. No more quiet life

So does this mean that the authorities are going to stop Thais also their very very loud all night parties? Then there is the once a month all night noise because one Thai family is sending one of their sons to be a monk. I wish Thais would do a little inward thinking now and again.

The editors should  clarify the nationalities  when they cover some troublesome aliens.

Otherwise, it simply stirs up general  Anti-Foreigners sentiments among the population.

And it is unfair and dangerous; potentially increasing Xenophobia among Thai people.

Pretty much like Sweeping Statement; mixing the good and bad altogether.

Gentlemen and Riff Raffs must be separated.

Not all foreign travelers/expats are behaving in the same way.

Some are law abiding and good mannered.

Some others  cause stupid problems by their lack of courtesy and consideration to the others.

So it is appropriate to single out the origins of the unruly ones instead.

Some deserves to be hated.

Some deserves to be favored.

Depending on their level of conscience and etiquette exercised.

How will identifying nationalities help the situation?

For every sad sack British guy making a fool of himself there are probably another ten perfect gentlemen going about their daily business causing no ill will to anyone. The same can be said for any nationality here.

Many Thais are generally xenephobic and would not care the actual nationality, to them we are all foreigners.

The problem as always is lack of enforcement.

Do you really feel like that?

That is something I haven't really felt.

There are always someone who doesn't like  Different People from outside, in any countries, for various reasons.

But general anti-alien sentiment here, is something which looks totally alien to me.

I have been here for nearly 2 decades by now though.

I wonder if you are in the area with more foreigner-related troubles (e.g. some part of Pattaya or Phuket)?

If so, what you feel might be more or less understandable though.

I have been in Chiang Mai, since the beginning of my settlement.

If I share the same impression with you(feeling xenophobia), I wouldn't stay here for this long...

The very fact that ths site on a daily basis publishes Thai news stories that are foreigner this and foreigner that absolutey proves that the Thais are xenophobic. Most of the anti foreigner articles are more often than not far less serious than what the Thais do themselves. So by definition zenophobic. Now we have Thais complaining about foreigners being noisey. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. It will be foreigners are more dangerous drivers next. Hang on, they already do.

I think this is an AI generated article based on the question : "Chat GPT please write an article about noisy, drug taking tourists renting  rooms in my expensive condo block"  It is just too generic and uninteresting to have been written by a real human being.
