A 47-year-old Thai man had to be assisted by emergency responders after a stainless steel ring became tightly stuck around the base of his genitals, causing severe swelling and infection.

At around 21:00 on 5 March, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation’s radio centre received a distress call from a private hospital in Pattaya, requesting urgent assistance.

Upon arrival, the rescue team found the man in extreme pain, with a two-layered stainless steel ring, constricting the base of his penis. The prolonged pressure had led to severe inflammation, swelling, and open wounds, with signs of infection starting.

Rescue personnel, equipped with specialised tools, worked with great care to cut through the metal ring. The man writhed in agony throughout the procedure, requiring both rescuers and hospital staff to restrain him. After 45 grueling minutes, the team successfully removed the ring, bringing relief to the patient.

When questioned, the man admitted that he had worn the ring a few days prior in an attempt to enhance his sexual performance and prolong endurance. However, once in place, the ring became impossible to remove, tightening progressively and leading to the emergency.

Medical professionals have urged individuals to avoid such risky methods, warning of potential complications, including permanent tissue damage and, in extreme cases, amputation.

There's always an issue with putting anything around your genitals, except a donut.

Why do people do these strange things? Jeez, the only thing I want around mine are lips or soft hands.

A "jewelers ring cutter" our local doctor has one works like a dam. I hooked my ring on something and was lucky I did not rip my finger off so I had them all cut.

"can you remove the ring but keep the swelling?"

Isn't life more difficult now, without any fingers?  🙂

Can you cure the infection but leave the swelling please.

That is why you use the ring, to keep that swelling.

Yeah use the ones you can easily get off.

Does any man really not understand the reason such rings are international best sellers?

As far as the unlucky man's pain, while I see such a procedure wouldn't merit general anesthesia, they couldn't have given him something to calm him down for Chrissakes? I'm asking but I guess I know that is a part of the culture that is not so lovely.

Very well-prepared.

I wonder if you are Survivalist.

Better than having a dildo removed from his nether regions.  But about as funny really. But hope he hasn't done any permanent damage.

Best post in the last month!

Think he figured out he had a problem after the popper wore off?
