Just another example of how extraordinary dangerous and reckless Trump is. He is the polar opposite of an intellectual, and does not think important policy through. Kneejerk Donnie.

  • Why? Oh, I don't know. Could it be that sometimes it is in one's own best interest to do things maybe others should be doing, but are not?   It's kind of like the research the US is doing to

What don't you understand about the fact that Donald Trump is President of the United States? And his administration abruptly pulled the plug on the PEPFAR program as well as lots of others. Are you claiming he's not responsible?

And why not try to arrange a transfer instead of a sudden cancellation?

If it's as serious as the OP suggests then other countries can front up with enough of the readies to make up for the US dropping out. There is enough money out there, except it's been stolen by rich people. Go ask them for some, why don't you?.

As for HIV, the easiest disease to avoid- don't have sex with strangers without a condom, don't use dirty needles for your drugs and don't marry or have children with men that have unprotected sex with prostitutes.

Up to you.

How successful was "Just Say No"? BTW before mouthing off you really should so some research e.g.

US-America has already an amazing high amount of $-debts. The world should change to another or a new currency-system. Maybe the § will go down so much, that you cannot live anymore here in Thailand.

Then you will regrett "America first" and suffer.

Why would you need to be hateful to me ?  You don't know me but, the majority of your posts always include nasty name calling or wishing ill on someone.

Maybe they have counseling in your home country that can help you, it must be extraordinarily hard going through life so very bitter that you can't have a normal intelligent conversation. Especially about a country you're not even a citizen of, can I give you a hug ?

Do you need a hug ?

We understand that perfectly.
Maybe you and the others that have had your hands out for 50-60 yrs should have known the money would stop some day and made plans to take care of yourself.
The fact that you didn't shows what incredible leaches you have been.

You just criticized puck 2 about hateful speech and then you call me and others "incredible leaches".  You are a massive hypocrite.

As for me getting handouts, what do you actually know about me as opposed to what you think you know about me that would lead you to draw such a conclusion?

And even if the program was to be cancelled, why not try to do it in a way that wouldn't result in such awful consequences?  Why so abrupt?

Incredible leaches is a descriptor of your actions in that sentence and you know that. You can split hairs all you want if it helps you sleep at night but its not the same thing.
You know as well as I do that "you" in that context was other countries, not you personally.

Thats what liberaltds sufferers do, they deflect from the actual conversation when they can't defend their position.
As far as knowing you, no I don't and wouldn't care to.

Sometimes, like this, its best to rip the bandaid off and start over. If there really is a need, other countries will fill in the gaps. Or people will die, they die everyday.

and what, then its tied up in red tape and bureaucracy?

Trump & Doge are clearing up gov waste, as they said they would. You wont be happy with anything that is done regardless.

Didn't they all just vote to send all USAID payments for this year anyway?

And they're so proud of their t achievements that they make it impossible to check up on whether they actually are real or not.

Send payments to whom? Workers have been recalled infrastructure has been dismantled or abandoned. You think after the hiatus they can just pick up again like nothing has happened?

America must stop calling itself the world's policeman and the greatest country (27th in the world for education, for instance).

That will shut people up.

I think you missed the point. Contemplate this sentence from the post you quoted an excerpt from:

Here's another sentence for you to contemplate. It's actually the final sentence in the post you took your excerpt from:

"At least, that's how it works in Oppositeworld."

Treating TB is a FOOLS ERRAND.

I just hope you do not think this is a good strategy.

Also, whatever Trump does, despite what you might like to believe, will...

NOT affect the outcome much, if at all.

What is needed is a vaccine for TB.

TB drugs are gradually and surely losing their efficacy.

Stay informed on this topic, is my advice.

And then, donate your money to the most promising VACCINE RESEARCH Projects you can find.

And, no need to thank me for this VERY SOUND ADVICE....

You bring up a very important fact- drugs like antibiotics are becoming impotent and less work properly, all due to overuse and abuse by Drs and suchlike. Apparently, new ones are not being developed fast enough.

If we ain't careful, it'll be like the world before penicillin was discovered.

The travesty isn't that Trump is pulling the plug, but that the plug was inserted in the first place.

Just because the US was generous does not mean that it HAS to be, or that it will happen for ever. When people have children they can't support and depend on people in other countries supporting them, who is to blame? Is it the country that supports people till they don't, or the people that should not have had children they can't support themselves?

No we didn't. We became a slush fund for the entire world, everyone has their hand out and now that the funds are cut off they're losing their minds. Too bad
America is always just about the first to respond when countries are in need and we always give the most. Time for that to end.
You know who comes to help us when we're in need ?  Thats right, almost nobody.

The world can take care of itself, just like we should be doing

I may have missed something here but what exactly is America in need of that you claim nobody's interested in giving them?

I'm not sure if a better IQ is something that can be easily conveyed like a Red Cross parcel, moreso now that USAID has been shuttered.

Well apart from: Canada taking and sheltering your diplomats when the US Embassy was seized in Teheran, NATO invoking article 5 in the treaty when you were attacked on 9/11, Canada taking the stranded/diverted aircraft and passengers, many countries expending their blood and treasure (including Denmark and Canada) in your various foreign interventions in the Middle East when asked...

More recently European acquiescence to American led sanctions on Russia, Iran, North Korea to name a few.

We could go back further - Korea, most of Western Europe and the Commonwealth, Vietnam - Australia and New Zealand.

Funny how the same names come up isn't it?

I should have been more clear, I was speaking only of domestic aid.  Like oh, I don't know, when we have entire towns wiped out by fire, floods etc

Nobody cares about canada. lol

That's right. In Anti Trump Land the entire world depends on the US paying for everything. No other country has any money to spare.

Obviously that's not true, so all those other countries can make up the difference if they think those projects are worth it.

If Britain and the EU stopped supporting Ukraine and the other country to kill other people, they could probably easily cover the deficit.

On the basis of aid as a percentage of National Income or on a per capita basis, America is far from being the most generous:
