Parking Restrictions

Featured Replies

As I rarely go into town, I am confused about parking restrictions depending on odd/even numbers.  I want to park on 2nd Road next Tuesday morning to visit my bank.  Is it OK to park on the left?

Did I miss something?

Odd/even date is not on 2nd rd.?

That is on South Pattaya rd.

You have to follow the usual color marks at the curbs.

And signs if there are plus obvious rules (close to intersection etc ).

You can park on both sides.

Parts of 2nd rd are quite stuffed with parked cars.

Where exactly is your bank?

Thanks for that.  Bank is conveniently opposite Soi Sex.

So Bangkok Bank?

If you can walk 200 meters, there is parking behind the fruits markets behind Soi 6.  Or, further down the road behind 7-11 in the Ladyboy show lot.

No wonder you can't park nearby!

What does this mean?  Is it a thoughtful reply to a request for help from an 82 year old?

Helpful; thank you.

There are also a few parking spots right underneath the bank.

The few times I’ve gone there by car I’ve been lucky to get a spot there.

Always been worried about getting out again!

There is a guy on here called Mike Bell who posts daily on every thread he possibly can that the local " plod " are inept and don't enforce traffic violations

Why on earth then would you be worried about parking regulations ?

Because I noticed they now have at least four eager beavers in a uniform, patrolling Pattaya Tai on motorbikes.

Have you noticed Plod enforcing any traffic violations?  (Apart from the odd blitz on helmets occasionally.)
