That's dumb.

The language of Israel is Hebrew.

Not Yiddish.

Again I think focusing on the nationality of these tourists is irrelevant and indeed inflammatory.

Point taken, as a non-religious person I now know there are 2 types of Jew, Israeli's and non-Israeli's, I am aware a lot of Israeli's are dual-nationalities,

I apologies if anybody was offended by my comments and now know if Israeli's are mentioned in any news posts on here to tread carefully, humour is not welcome, no matter what the subject matter is.

  • Oh, please. This is not about Israelis. It's obviously about a person with a medical problem and a dispute about damages that could happen with any nationality. How was this situation "brokered" if th

The taxi driver gets my sympathy, it's still daylight from the picture and no matter where the passengers are from he's left with a clean up job nobody wants, the cars going to need a thorough cleanou

  • So the tourist who its claimed did this was obviously a disabled guy as he needed a walking frame so while this is a very unpleasant experience perhaps a little understanding would also be worthwhile

Humor is welcome as long as it's actually funny.

To add, there are many more than two kinds of Jewish people.

You're implying this unfortunate accident was intentional.

Well, who knows but at minimum if in fact he is old, disabled or incontinence then why wasn't he wearing a diaper?

Either way it is 100% on him for the mess, accident or not.

Quite likely that he wasn't incontinent and he just had diarrhea .

I doubt that this happens regularly .

You are saying that ALL old people should wear diapers ; What age should all people start wearing diapers ?

We all share the human condition. Where's the compassion? Is it related to global politics that people are so darn mean and nasty these days?

the 300 b they offered: they should do this in Israel and give the driver 300 b only, interesting to see what will happen!

1500 b not to bad for cleaning someone else's poop, medical cause or not, it's still poop!

It really was an unfortunate incident.

However, I think offering 300 B was an insult, which would have made the driver angry.

If it happened to me, I would have offered 3000 B - IMHO

Agree but the friend should have been more reasonable regarding the amount of compensation.

The driver will loose time and fares dealing with the clean up..

I saw another news report that said the 'friend' pretty much only offered the amount of the fare due, if so he was really beating the driver down.

We cannot blame global politics entirely for the mean and nasty behavior of people.

Parents been too busy to bring up their off spring, 'modern' psychology methods, mobile phones & the internet abuse etc. has a lot to do, I think.

I mentioned this to my wife last night and she said it's 3000 baht for being sick in a taxi  in Bangkok never mind having a dump,

Meter on or off?

I think the tourists were probably upset that they weren't being taken to their destination which is something they desperately needed much more after the incident. Not saying the driver should be expected to drive with the stink of course not but both the driver and the passengers were having a very bad day.

So the guy has an accident, now not only pay the fare without getting home, but now pay much more and no way to get home. Not the driver's fault but certainly stressful for the tourists. It's not like there was a hosing down station on the street.
