The video is embedeed at the top of the page, or follow the link in the "Step for Submit the Thailand Arrival Card" box.

Aren't there supposed to be 2 different guides?

The one at the top is the one left in the below screenshot, it explains when to submit, and the tab works.

The one on the right is supposed to show you how to fill in, but the tab doesn't work.

What happens if you don't have a smartphone?

Probably fill in a form that will take longer

That means "up to 3 days in advance"

You can do it day prior to flight.

The shear volume of entries to Thailand would not allow for processing or verification.

We have a previous model. The TM6 card.

When was that information checked/verified

When applying, you can only choose an arrival date of today, or up to three days from now.

We highlight the 3-day window because that’s how it was worded in the official announcement. Applying earlier is fine if you're able to, but we don't expect any issues with entry or departure if you apply less than three days before arrival ( your airline may force it, this is yet be seen ).

This process replaces the TM6, which was usually filled out on arrival in Thailand. It's possible authorities may want this information earlier for coordination or logistical reasons, but in practice, it should still be fine to complete close to your travel date.

What is clear is it is impossible to submit more than 3 days before your arrival date as it will be disabled.

We’ve also embedded the video on https://tdac.in.th/#tdac-introduction in multiple languages, though the screenshots provide more detailed information.

Especially since there's a lot of airlines banning power banks on flights, so a lot of passengers arrive with dead smartphones.  That's been a learning curve for me flying the Chinese airlines where power banks can't be used in flight.  Making sure I don't run out of battery.

Ever thought of using a charger that you can plug into an outlet at airport or even airplane? A fully charged phone should outlast even the longest flight, especially since the usage of phones is limited.

GBR is there.

As OJAS  mentioned in a subsequent post, two different country lists are used. If I remember correctly, one list is uses for country of residence, the other for country of departure airport. Also for nationality, a drop-down list opens.

I didn't go back and check for Scotland or GBR, but I remember that for Switzerland, one list had the country code, ie CHE, the other list did not have it.

Anyway, that website is still very much "work in process", it seems, and the final version may be different. I'll look at it again when it will officially be in operation.

In the Country of Residence, the "United Kingdom of Great Britain" and "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" are options.

That's another example of sloppiness.

Are the islands of Man, Guernsey and Jersey, which are not part of the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", listed separately?

It’s an easy form.

there is only 1 big problem .

country of residence : why there is not Thailand?

It's easy but a bit useless I think. And it looks like departure information aren't mandatory as the arrival information. I think departure information can be skipped

Maybe it's a mistranslation and they mean "country of birth/origin"?  In any case, if I can't enter Thailand (where I've lived for 20+ years, and where my son, who'll be travelling with me, has lived all is life) I guess I'll just enter our passport country.

What did you put for "country of residence"

I would prefer not a guess.

Perhaps if previous fields indicate visa exempt entry then the departure information may be required
