Age means little. How those 250K were spent does. That's about 155,000 miles, which is quite a few but still could be worth it if the car was maintained well. I've seen cars a grandma drove from home to the stores with the same amount of miles that was in mint condition, kept in a garage, oil and fluids changed on time. Some never use the 4WD so that's another thing. No off roading, less damage to drive train. Best thing is to get it checked my a competent mechanic, if you can find one.

I think I saw that ad.

40 years ago  I tried one......for 3 months only, still under warranty.

Brakes, gear box, consumption (min. 19 l), suspension, maybe some more obstacles I can't remember.

Fun? No🤗

I don't know about a Jeep, but I certainly wouldn't be afraid of a car that old.  If it has been maintained, why not?  Especially if the price is right.  Among a few other cars, I had a 1997 Toyota 4Runner 4WD not too long ago. It had around 105.000 miles on it and had been well maintained.  I gave it away before I moved, but I'm sure someone got a good deal. LOL  That vehicle could easily go another 15 years.

There were quite a few on the streets in Bangkok back in the 1990s, but Jeep's popularity must have declined since then. I don't see many new ones around.

As long as spare parts and consumables are available and the vehicle was maintained well, you should be ok if the price is right. There are authorized Jeep distributors in Thailand.
