Another aspect of this. The Trump operatives are very clear in their goal to replace regular IRS taxes with tariff taxes as much as possible.

Why is that noxious?

Among other things IRS taxes are progressive and spare poorer people an unfair proportional burden. 

Tariff taxes hit the lower and middle classes the hardest proportional to their income and the wealthy won't feel any pain from them at all.

Soon to follow from Trump's absurdly named Liberation Day -- massive tax cuts for billionaires.

This isn't an answer. You can't know who from which country wants to buy what but we DO know when that times comes Thailand is not being fair. This is  a matter of principle too.

 

US companies are having to pay the Thai government taxes. How about no? screw them.
