So what if she wasn't notified? Does it matter if they come wash the windows and  you don't know about it? They said "At the time, she had claimed she had not seen the notice posted in the elevator as she was confined to her apartment" Does that mean she couldn't leave her room because of the window washing? Doesn't make senes to me.

Unfortunately most things that Thais do don't make sense, that's why I like em

I also a programmer and I understand trying to concentrate with the constant distractions and noise in Thailand. She was probably just annoyed in general and some window guy showed up and started <deleted> around outside making noise and shouting etc... probably this was coming on for a long time.

How on earth is this not considered murder? I react very badly when there are ropes in front of my windows and sometimes I even try to kill the person at the end of the rope. It is especially convenient knowing that I won't be charged with murder.

What the heck is "attempted manslaughter"? Is that a charge for attempting to accidentally kill someone?

Although the exact definition varies by jurisdiction, in general manslaughter doesn't mean killing somebody by accident, it means killing someone without having planned it beforehand.

Which would seem to be the case here.

I would be happy if my condo actually did any maintenance.

The management could be working on the premise that there wont be a condo after the next earthquake.😀

I have to ask, do people think I was condoning her behavior? Obviously this was attempted murder. I was just responding as to WHY this maybe happened. Probably not random but a slow burning fuse that exploded eventually.

So, if you just suddenly decide to kill someone and then instantly do it, it's manslaughter?  That doesn't sound right.  Generally, manslaughter means the death was unintentional or it was intentional with some sort of mitigating circumstances.

Do you have a link that supports your claim?

OK, attempted murder, at least?

That's what she is charged with.

She was charged with attempted murder and causing property damage.

I wonder if she can get away with manslaughter based on stupidity...  🤔

You seem to see these cases a lot in Thailand in which defendants convicted of very serious crimes receive repeated decisions allowing bail for years and years. They don't even need to be rich, either lower middle class or low level connections is enough.

There is one big proviso and that is their victim has lower status than them. Here, the victim (I know he survived) was a lowly manual worker.

It certainly appears to be denial of justice.
