Nike 'Won't Build Factories' In US, They Will Sell To Countries Like China

Economist Peter Schiff warned on Thursday that Nike Inc. (NYSE:NKE) won’t shift production to the United States despite newly imposed tariffs, predicting higher prices and reduced domestic sales for the footwear giant.

What Happened: “Nike won’t build factories in the U.S. to make sneakers. That would add more cost than the 40% tariffs,” Schiff wrote on X. “The result will be fewer sneakers sold in the U.S. at much higher prices.”

Peter Schiff? Yeah, that's a credible source:

"On June 30, 2022, the Puerto Rico Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions (OCIF) announced they had suspended the operations of Schiff's Puerto Rico-based Euro Pacific International Bank, which was suspected of having facilitated money laundering and tax evasion. The Commissioner stated that it had found numerous violations of its regulations and that the bank had "not wanted to comply". Regulators liquidated the bank, and Schiff paid $300,000 in fines."

Like these 2 irrational anti-Trumpers?

President Donald Trump on Thursday contradicted his top aides on the purpose of his sprawling new global tariff regime, adding to the uncertainty over the trade war that has sent markets reeling.Earlier in the day, top Trump aide Peter Navarro and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said the president was not looking to strike deals over the tariffs. “This is not a negotiation,” Navarro told CNBC.                                 https://archive.ph/TZsIx#selection-287.0-287.68

Yeah, the sh** show is in full swing;

Trump Has Already Botched His Own Bad Tariff Plan

That's all? Are you telling me that he isn't even a convicted criminal like Trump is?

That's all? He's a money launderer and tax evader!

This is the person you're suggesting as a credible source?

Wait 6 months. See what happens.

It'll play out over much longer than that. By the time of the next Presidential election (if there is one) we should have an initial view of how the post-WTO world is going.

But of course much that is economic depends also on other security-type issues such as Ukraine & Taiwan and the accompanying military expenditures ...

I could go on here for a very long time, but in short this criminal moron is now tanking the US economy. Well done Trump voters, I hope it hits you really, really hard.

Because the people in these countries can't afford American products, tariffed or not, it would be a win/win for them to drop their tariffs if they get tariff-free trade with the US out of the deal.

No one in their right mind bargains with a bully.

The right way to deal with a bully is a good smack in the mouth.

Trump would look extremely stupid if Canada cuts off all electricity to the north-eastern seaboard, or halts oil supply.

As it is, it's slapping tariffs on both. Higher cost power and gasoline for Americans.

Yes we love his brand of control, the same brand that he used to put 17 major businesses under, and bankrupt enormous businesses that's real control.

17 of his businesses have failed in the past few  decades. Some at huge losses. Trump Steaks, Trump Shuttle Airline ($120 million in losses between 1988 and 1990), GoTrump, Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage, Trump University, Trump Ice, The New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trump Magazine, Trumped!. Many businesses that licensed his name went bankrupt, or went out of business. And he had between four and six major bankruptcies (depending on the source), including the Trump Taj Mahal (which he spent $1.2 billion building, and was $3 billion in debt within a year of opening), Trump's Castle, Trump Place Hotel (which was very successful prior to Trump buying it in 1988, and he managed to put it into $550 million in debt by 1992!), Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts ($1.8 billion in debt by 2004, bankrupt in 2009) , and Trump Entertainment Resorts. There are likely others. And this does not take into account the 3,600 lawsuits he was involved in as of the time he took office, the vast majority of which were filed by small contractors against his companies for non payment, or total default. Many of these contractors were crushed. It is part of his M.O.

And now his goal appears to be to destroy the American economy too, and perhaps take the world with it. Is he one of histories great sadists? Maybe. Or is there a diabolical plan at work?
